Anyone notice that Trump and Pence have reversed the normal “good cop”/”bad cop” roles of the president and the vice president? I think Pence has grown exponentially as the vice president and I have come to admire him more and more over time.

Don Lemon’s disgust for Pence’s devout ways was even less subtle. The CNN host panicked over the horrifying idea that the VP would pray over the pandemic. “Is that the person you want in charge of the coronavirus outbreak? Someone who needs to pray on something instead of looking at science? Come on. Let’s be real about it. Let’s be honest about it. Is that the person you want in charge?”

Can we dispense with the notion all Christians have no regard for science? Just asking . . .

First of all, Pence is a Marine, so you know he has a backbone programmed into him.

Second, he was a congressman, so he knows the legislative game.

Third, he was governor of Indiana, so he has executive experience.
