Looks like the ME state police will be pulling double duty in Franklin County then. Sort of like arresting the guy for paddle boarding in CA or the gal with the $200.00 ticket out for a drive. Srsly? If you ain't going to a kegger with a couple dozen friends, who cares? Same sort of thing happening in Brevard County FL with the "spoil" islands. All off limits because some folks decided they knew better and had a party on what's known locally as "ski island". Now all of them are off limits. And the absurdity continues.

As I predicted. The larger fear of economic ruination will come to bear and so will peoples refusal to adhere to a police state.
This will start like this in one or two places and snowball into a widespread pushback, if not revolt.

Nothing worse than a female democRAT governor trying to wield power. They just can’t help themselves.

Local officials can uphold the US constitution or they can follow the directives of demented governors. When issued such bizarre orders, they should simply reply that they will protect, defend and uphold the Constitution as the swore in their oaths of office.

Scott Nichols, the sheriff of Franklin County, Maine... "We will not be setting up a Police State. PERIOD," he wrote. "The Sheriffs Office will not purposefully go out and stop vehicles because they are on the road or stop and ask why people are out and about. To do so puts our officers at risk. This is not Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia where you are asked for your papers!" he wrote.

The Founding Fathers would be pleased by this. They warned us about the dangers of an all powerful government.

On Saturday I drove down to Connecticut and then back to Massachusetts. When crossing into Massachusetts there was one of those blinking roadside signs saying that those entering the state were encouraged to self isolate for 14 days.I'm pretty sure it said "encouraged"..I don't think it said "required".But it did say "self isolate" and 14 "days".
Of course we have a RINO Governor who's never tried to hide his contempt for the President so this isn't a surprise.

Government Control Freaks are in their element, telling people hourly what they can and can’t do. Having a ball! The hall monitors feel so empowered.
I’m not subscribing to this lunacy. Social distancing? Fine. But I’m driving where I want, when I want.

This will start like this in one or two places and snowball into a widespread pushback, if not revolt. My model projects this to happen in days not weeks.

Good for that Sheriff.
Meanwhile here in AZ, the Navajo and Havasupai tribes have barricaded their access roads. Cant get in, or out..without special ID’s.

So, will that be 100,000 violations or 240,000? :-)

The problem with our political rulers is that they desperately want to stay in power — and they want more of it. Nearly all of them see their position as a career to be protected instead of a calling to serve for a period of time and then return back to private life.

We drove from Colorado into Utah and back a few days ago.
No signs of any kind as we entered/left either state. Highway patrols were sitting in their usual spots, other than that we were ignored.
