And then we have Corzine, who lost because he wanted to sell the turnpike to his friends at Goldman Sachs, that is a cash cow to many many democrats and republicans alike, Christie got a ton of backing because of that.

That range is so broad as to be meaningless.
LOL. I remember reading that. Numerous experts warned businesses and governments to upgrade/replace COBOL systems back in 2000 and states lust let these antiquated systems fester for decades past their useful life.
How many COBOL programmers are left? I doubt any university is still teaching it.

I don’t assume Murphy wins re-election; he has fixed nothing, and the McJob economy has gotten worse. The flight of taxpaying companies and American workers continues, and the Third World replacements are fighting over a dwindling pot of tax revenue.
Trump won 41% of the votes in NJ in 2016, and both NY and NJ are visibly worse off than 4 years ago. It is no accident that coronavirus took off in these dying sanctuary states, and the measures imposed (like working remotely) will hurt it even more - high earners often simply don’t have to live within our borders. It was exposed for what it is when Cuomo started the about-face on the lockdown - due solely to lost revenues for the state, and NYC itself has its own income tax. They are getting crushed financially.
