My Sara sara store in Cebu, Philippines was forced to close due to this Kung Flu panic. We have hundreds of cases of various beers, and hard booze just sitting there.
When the restriction is finally lifted, I expect to sell out in one day, if the drunks can find an extra peso or two.

In a way this would usually be an interesting time to visit Thailand, they play water. You drive around the town in a truck (or ride and elephant) with people in back loaded with squirt guns, buckets, tubs of waters, and lots of alcohol. People line up in the streets to get pelted with water and through back at you.

Years ago I had a friend who was a closet hardcore alcoholic drinking more than just the beer I was see him drink. He would also down a fifth of vodka secretly. When he sideswiped a car on the way home and got 30 days in the pokey he died from alcohol withdrawal on the 10th day.
I only mention this because the article mentioned a 10 day ban. I wonder how many people will die there who are also secretly downing a lot more alcohol than their friends or family think they are. No doubt most will have a stash to get them through but some won’t and they will get deathly sick.
