My dog takes an Omeprazole a day.
Bureaucrats live in a world of their own. They may not even know the pandemic is going on.
Yes. Amazon has none that I could find. Mrs. RWA couldn't find it several months ago in stores around here. I think the September announcement was warning the companies selling it soon it will be banned. It looks like the got the message.
While being bad for those who need it, it will prove to all of us that we need to get all of our medicine production back home where it belongs.
Of course I would love to be able to buy many more things made in the USA.

Heartburn and Erosive reflux disease (ERD). I was on AcipHex for years until it went generic, and now I’m on omeprazole (Prilosec). They didn’t catch mine until I had an attack they thought was a cardiac episode and put me in the ER and my EKG showed one of my heart chambers looked like it was trying to recover from a blockage. What they found was an esophageal lesion that was about to burn through. ERD isn’t just a ‘super heartburn episode’, like you had too many jalapeno slices on your burrito platter. They said mine was an attack that constricted the chest wall to the point where my heart couldn’t pump properly, causing the blood flow to constrict to my left arm and into my neck. Numb left arm, difficulty taking a breath, blurry vision, heart recovering from fib, all signs that an artery got plugged. And all the result of a reflux spasm in my chest from neck to bellybutton. Terrifying. Once in a blue moon I’ll still get one from stress.
