"Real Time" host Bill Maher slammed the "PC police" Friday night for overreacting to the "Chinese virus" labeling controversy.
As the coronavirus outbreak continued spreading across the U.S., President Trump and others sparked a national debate by referring to the disease as the "Chinese coronavirus" or the "Wuhan virus" because it began infecting people in Wuhan, China.
But critics of the labels called them "racist" and "xenophobic," insisting such terms would incite hate crimes against Asian-Amercans.
Maher mocked the complainers, listing several other illnesses that are named after their locations of origin -- such as the West Nile virus, Spanish flu and MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome).
"You can't yell at someone for breaking a rule you just made up," he said, adding, "So why should China get a pass?"

No surprise there. That’s the 99% thing I mentioned in my post #1. But Maher is doing the country a service (of sorts) here.
Everyone on the left is being brainwashed to give China a pass. Don’t blame China! Maher has at least given them something to think about. So in this case I will focus not on the messenger, but on the message.
Despite whatever craziness that comes out of his mouth, Bill Maher has been consistent in his campaign against political correctness.

Bill is missing the point. The entire idea of the left is the ability to punish people for rules they just made up.
That is the whole purpose of the idea of "the living Constitution".
Times change, so the left changes the rules, and everyone who disagrees has to suffer.

Everytime an American looked at an item for where it was made in it came from this country (China). Now China’s reliance making everything was being threatened by a change in leadership in America which was a major consumer of those products. When Americans hailed their leaders decision to make many of them in their country US. Their politburo worried. Worse yet opponents to the Chinese regime in power had its citizens protesting its policies since that change in American leadership wave the American flag and present his name when doing so. All of which presented those in power the need to destroy that leader,

This POS got his wish to have th economy crash just to make take down Trump.
If only he would recognize “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress” were just rules made up to impeach Trump.

Maher is HAPPY that the economy is shut down and that people have lost their jobs and are sliding into poverty. He was ROOTING for a recession a few months ago, saying it would be WORTH IT if people lost their jobs and homes (not him or his Hollywood friends, mind you) if it meant that Trump was removed from office.
Maher is THRILLED that the Wuhan virus is devastating many American lives.
