There are lots of non-essential businesses still open and operating. Why does Walmart and Target get to sell shoes and video games? Sorry, but the lawn crews aren’t essential. We have nail salons that have police shutting them down one day and they’re back open the next. Same with gambling joints still open for business. Do tourists really need to use that gas pump for their RVs and jet skis? No, they don’t.
As for hair cuts. For decades, I’ve cut Mr. b’s and he cuts mine. Lightfoot certainly didn’t need that style. Take some electric shears and run them around her head and it’s done.
