I was an ROTC commissionee, my favorite term for the trade school is Sodom on the Hudson.
I met some outstanding officers who commissioned out of the Academy, but also a few real wastes of skin who thought an academy ring made them infallible.
Congrats to the new Second Lieutenants. Once you get home after graduation, put those damn rings up, shut the hl up. No one wants to here about how awesome you are. You arent in school anymore, youre in the real Army now. Listen to the NCOs and Captains who are going to try and teach you how not to get your troops killed.
