Kentucky’s GOP Legislature Overrides Liberal Governor Bashear’s Veto On Voter ID Requirements
Gateway Pundit ^ | 18 April 20 | Brock Simmons

A veto made by Governor Andy Beshear opposing a voter ID law was defeated in the state legislature.

Lawmakers in both the Kentucky House and Senate voted to override Beshear’s veto of SB 2.

Republican state lawmakers called the proposed voter ID law one of their top priorities at the beginning of the 2020 legislative session.

Proponents said it would increase confidence in the state’s elections by preventing fraud, but Democrats are claim that problem doesn’t exist, adding the bill would keep legal voters from heading to the polls.

Voters would need a photo ID to cast a ballot in-person or through the mail. Senate Bill 2 also lays out a process to provide free IDs to people in need.

The debate Tuesday focused on the impacts of the coronavirus on the new rule.

“Our county clerks offices are closed and people cannot go and get a drivers license, even if they wanted one,” Minority Floor Leader Sen. Morgan McGarvey said. “You’re standing here today making it harder for people to vote.”

One of the bills sponsors responded by stating it would not impact the primary elections, now being held in June.

Their pretzel logic is astonishing until you realize that the common thread is power. Gaining power for themselves, the rest of the country can go pound sand as far as they are concerned.

Funny that he was just elected by a razor thin margain of questionable votes. And when his old and dear friend Kentucky Secretary of State Allison Lundergan Grimes was still heading up the oversight of elections.
Allison whose father Jerry Lundergan a former Billy Jeff Clinton bundler was recently convicted in Ky of campaign finance fraud in her last election.
Voter fraud Is rampant in Ky and it’s always been swept under the rug by the Dems.
Its really funny that these Dem voters who will be so put out by having to obtain ID seem to have no problem getting their prescriptions.

Before the election I had lunch and a long conversation with a neighbor who works for the school system. She is not a teacher. She was fully convinced that Devon was going to steal their pension.

I pointed out to her that if nothing was done she wasn’t going to get any pension. I never asked her how she voted but I’m pretty sure my logic was not successful in changing her mind

Driving a car.

1: Buying liquor.

2” Buying tobacco.

3: Boarding an aircraft.

4: Checking out a book at the library.

5: Renting a motel room.

6: Entering a Court House.

7: Buying ammunition (at least here in California).

8: Buying a pistol, rifle, or shotgun (again California)

9: Opening a checking account.

10: Getting a Passport for travel.

11: Getting out of jail or prison (for those in that position)

12: Getting a Teaching Credential (if you finished college)

And the list goes on and on; any body who is an adult of voting age in this country that DOES NOT have a official picture ID of some sort is either living in a cave in the Amazon Basin or is living here ILLEGALLY.

Seems strange that 2 third world shitholes, like Mexico and India; 130 Million and 1.3 Billion people respectively can issue and keep updated and correct a VOTER ID for everyone of it’s qualified citizens, but the UNITED STATES of AMERICA CAN’T?

Dems demand the right to cheat. Texas requires voter ID, and turnouts have been bigger than ever.

How libtard scum infects a great state like Kentucky sickens me. I never understood voters vote Republicans to run the legislature but elect a total douche bag rat for governor. Pennsylvania is like that.

YAY! the D’s don’t want any voter id because their voters can vote a dozen or more times without it

If this has taught anything it’s taught us we must fight like hell to undue these stolen elections. Wi and KY were both stolen. The rat controlled states - you can’t have mass while in a car with windows up but you can kill your baby no prob.
Or my state where you can’t buy house paint but you can kill your baby and stop for pot on your way home

Thankfully Kentucky has a legislature that can largely neutralize that nut case Governor.

Baby-Face-Beshear got his first slapped down. How sweet. The attorney general, Daniel Cameron, who is a Republican, just filed a brief that probably will get Baby-Face’s shorts in a wad too.

The soon to be rift that I suspect will grow between the governor and the attorney general isn’t coming any too soon. Kentucky Democrats have used the state attorney general’s office to undermine both of Kentucky’s Republican governors in the last 20 years, including most recently when it was recently occupied by Baby-Face himself.

Democrats hopefully are now going to find out what it’s like for that shoe to be on the other foot and I hope Cameron burns Baby-Face a new butthole!

Conservatives only accidentally get elected in Kentucky. Kentucky and West Virginia both have long been infected by a special kind of stupid where too many citizens of both states stupidly still think it is 1936.

I’m in L.A Guess what? What do the ILLEGALS have as an ID?

iT’S called an ITIN CARD. My bud who owns a car dealership showed me a couple. Instead of the ID in normal form, the picture is shown vertical.

So logic dictates if CA provides ITIN cards, then there is no problem with voter ID? right??

Yup; kind of strange isn’t it, the State of California can provide an ID for a WETBACK (who normally can’t and shouldn’t get a legitimate ID) to drive, work illegally, go to the doctor, open a bank account, and STEAL FROM THE PUBLIC WELFARE SYSTEM but seems incapable of coming up with a secure ID for LEGAL CITIZENS to vote.

ALL elections should be covered under FEDERAL ELECTION LAWS, secure VOTER ID to vote in any election at any level, CITY, COUNTY, STATE, and FEDERAL!

That would help keep the WETBACKS from packing your City Councils, Mayors offices County Offices, and State Legislature with WETBACKS and other ILLEGAL ALIENS.
