MELBOURNE—Australia on Sunday added to growing pressure on China over its handling of the CCP virus, questioning its transparency and demanding an international investigation into the origins of the virus and how it spread.
The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as novel coronavirus, which emerged from mainland China last year, causes the disease COVID-19.
Australia’s foreign minister, Marise Payne, said her concern about the Chinese regime’s transparency was at a “a very high point.”
“The issues around coronavirus are issues for independent review, and I think that it is important that we do that,” Payne told ABC television.
“In fact, Australia will absolutely insist on that.”
Australia has managed to get its epidemic under control before it strained its public health system, reporting 53 new cases on Sunday. They took its total to 6,586, according to the health ministry data.
There have been 71 deaths in Australia. The rate of increase in new cases has been below 1 percent for seven consecutive days—much lower than in many other countries.
Payne’s call for an enquiry into the outbreak comes at time of tense ties between her country and its most important trading partner.
Relations have deteriorated amid Australian accusations of Chinese meddling in domestic affairs and concern about what Australia sees as the Chinese regime’s growing, and undue, influence in the Pacific region.
“Our trust in China is predicated in the long-term,” Payne said. “My concern is around transparency and ensuring that we are able to engage openly.”
Australia’s call for an investigation comes as President Donald Trump has been stepping up his criticism of China.
Trump and his senior aides have also accused China of a lack of transparency after the CCP virus broke out. On Saturday, Trump said China should face consequences if it was “knowingly responsible”

You betcha. Germany is demanding reparations from China. UK has now withdrawn its cooperation with Huawei for 5G euiqpment. Even France is joining its EU neighbors in demanding an explanation from the Chicoms.

That China could unleash this outrage on the world and then lie about it and threaten and harass (and maybe worse) the honest doctors and scientists who tried to raise the warning shows that that country is run by sleazy, scumbag crooks with zero legitimacy. They’ve lied and tried to shift blame to cover up their own stupidity and carelessness, and did nothing to protect the world’s population from their irresponsibility. Just exactly who the hell do they think they are? Do they think they can call out their tanks and shoot everyone around the world who is a witness to their foolishness, as they did in Tienanmen Square?
As I’ve said before, just imagine for a moment would would have been the reaction of the “world community” if the USA had been responsible for this catastrophe, that has killed tens of thousands and has changed and diminished the way of life of billions. The outcry would have been incalculable. Every country in the world would be rising up as one to condemn us, to retaliate and punish us. We would be paying for it for decades to come. Oil-producing countries would be refusing to ship oil to us. China would be using its monopoly over rare-earth minerals to extract the maximum advantage. American tourists around the world would be in physical danger, and there would be reports of horrible treatment of them and terrible deaths inflicted, and people around the world would be encouraged to think that treatment justified by our own media.
But China seems to get a pass. We cannot identify China as the culprit here, and we are shushed by our Democrat politicians and MSM, which I am more certain than ever have all been bought by the Chinese Communist Party and are being paid for their loyalty, and are being blackmailed for having received those payments.
There is EVIL in this world. Millions of lives are being sacrificed to it. Witness events.
No call for investigation into root cause. No incontroveritble proof of root cause. No Nuremberg style trials. No destruction of L4 labs. No lab directors questioned. No protests around the labs. No heat from politicians, countries, intel agencies, U.N. No platform propagandists curious. Sweep, sweep until template is put into use again. 2020. Plausible deniability for any EVIL actors. See your enemies. All defense all the time.

The international media conglomerates want to do business in China. It’s a huge market, and they know they will be cut out if they criticize the CCP government’s actions. So they don’t.
For one example, Disney owns ABC. If ABC News takes the CCP government to task for creating the pandemic by try to hide the Wuhan Flu in the early stages when it could have been contained, their movies won’t get distribution in China. So guess what? They don’t criticize the CCP government.
The pandemic has caused an even bigger issue to be revealed, one that must be addressed. Using antitrust to break up oligarchies is long overdue.
