You must be mistaken. I say that because over the years I have post after post after post after post where the poster said[wrote] that the police, in case that the Governmental Officials overstepped their bounds, would be on our side.

I have been called all sorts of pejorative things from jackboot licking and jackboot wearing posters here for suggesting that police in the USA are no different from police/milice/SD/stasi/NKVD/etc. in any other place; that they will follow orders no matter what the consequences to their fellow citizens.

The police are NOT our friends. They are the friends of the government that pays them (with our money). You can see their respect for the First Amendment (and in NJ their respect for the second as well) in their prosecution of people exercising their rights. People not even breaking a law, but an executive decree (who told these douche bags that there were suddenly emperors?) that was not even passed by the legislature.
