More on the issue for those who want to know what ag producers are facing:

One thing about Tyson, any Tyson, don’t trust them.
Tyson did not take these adds out in the Sunday paper to give the public fair warning or out of concern to provide for the public. Tyson did it because they want something.
I have been 30 miles from the Walmart, Tyson, Hunt, et al corridor for 50 years. Long before NWA became a minitropolis after Mr. Sam died.
There is a catch here and an effort to create an advantage for Tyson over something. One of those somethings is tons of product packaged for commercial use that the Feds will not allow them to repackage for retail distribution. It is sitting in the freezers taking up lots of space right now. Tyson wants to move it of course and is putting pressure on to do that.
Before Tyson became so big we never saw a latino around here. NOw they are everywhere and still don’t speak a word of English if they are not forced to. It is not about cheap chicken, it is all about more profits. If they didn’t have cheap workers they would still sell chicken for about what it is today but make less profit.
Outside of that there is probably a grain of truth to disruption because of plant workers who are sickened.
“Did people stop eating?”
Not yet. But if food production and delivery falters...
Tyson=Chicom Chicken. Get your chicken local if you can. If I could,I would raise my own but it’s ILLEGAL where I live of course.
Have not bought Tyson in years. Bought half a hog from a local ranch and have 60 pounds of pork in the freezer. Not everything you eat has to come from the grocery store.
It’s not the fall that kills you. It’s the sudden stop at the end.
I tried reading this article of Fox on my PC. Their webpage has become unbearable with the WuFlu pop down screen on every article you click on. After a minute Im done. Close fox and go read my news elsewhere.

Tyson Foods cleared to ship poultry to China from all U.S. plants

Did they dispose of them in a chicken packing plant?
re: ‘tyson is HQed in arkansas. of course they were clinton supporters.’
That was 30 years ago. Ark. is all the way a Trump state now and run by a sensible Rep. Governor who did NOT lock down his state.
well, then the guy that said they were clinton supporters to begin with is wrong. according to open secrets, tyson is a pretty solidly red organization.
Did you all even read the article? The processing plants didn’t close because they were ordered to as part of social distancing, but because the employees are getting sick and their operations are being disrupted by the virus itself.
Facts matter. Reality matters.
it didn’t actually say the staffing shortages were caused by sick employees.
facts, reality, & etc.
Mostly me too. Fox News often freezes up my computer. I'm about to quit even going there.
No, I didn’t read the article. Are their workers dying, or are some of them getting the flu, which happens every year?
The virus is not the problem. The response is the problem. We’re getting, as a culture, exactly what we deserve. The culture is - literally - being scared to death. It’s pretty amazing to watch unfold from the outside. Truly historic. History will not be kind to this generation.
the story implied that the work shortage is more a result of employees pissed off about tysons response to the virus, rather than sick employees if tysons was a hot spot, theyd be blaring it from the rooftops. see: the plant in ND the the msm wet itself over.
many, many panicky threads on FRreakingoutRepublic these days.
see what I mean?
I doubt it.
Look at it this way......
Chiner ain’t getting anything.
Good one! And there may be truth to that. It’s a valid point.
