Trump is trying to save lives and get the economy back up and running again before the cure is worse than the virus.

The democRATS are in this for themselves and to destroy Trump. They could care less about the American people. They never have cared for their constituents. They favor illegals, felons and our foreign enemies. I mean, Bill Gates came out this morning lauding China. WTF?!

Instead of locking down places that have an abundance of Covid-19 cases and focusing on them, they have locked the entire country down.

The county where I live has 200 some cases and only one death but we're being treated like we're NYC. Rural areas like this don't have many options for employment but now it is a disaster. The majority of people have lost their jobs and are facing bankruptcy. Businesses have shuttered and won't reopen. The options after these arrogant politicians decide who the winners and loser will be, will be few and far between. All for what?

We have spent a dollar to save a nickel and lost 95 cents in the process. We've shot ourselves in the foot to cure a hangnail. We've let politicians take away our civil liberties and freedoms as Americans. Not smart.

This pandemic will be forever known, not for how many people it has killed because that number is inline with many other pandemics in the past. But for the destruction of our booming economy to try and save lives that would probably have been lost anyway.

People still need to eat at home, more so now, as restaurants are either shut down or just drive-thru etc. Other meat plants are shut down. This could get back very fast.

The Chairman of Tyson, John Tyson, published his open letter with the big hint about shortages in full page advertisements in the Sunday’s New York Times, Washington Post and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Several other meat companies have also been broadcasting and publishing the hysteria.

The CCP Chinese Communist Party has a controlling interest in at least one major pork American processor Smithfield. They were allowed to acquire it by the Obama administration after China pork was wiped out by swine flu. We (US) should review what they CCP does when that happens look at what they did to the Italian fashion industry,
Most Americans including this one were not aware that that the Italian Socialist government had actually allowed the Chinese communists to purchase thus remove Italian ownership of a large segment of their fashion industry producers. Then replace the Italians working at those companies taken over by the Chinese and have them manned by thousands of Chinese nationals allowed to be brought in to work there.

When that CCWV breakout occured in Wuhan the politburo closed off Wuhan but did not warn the Italian Socialist government or the Pope with whom the Chinese government had good relations with but certainly violated when the socialists should have been informed and allowed to deny those Chinese workers travel to and from China particularly for their New Year while this was occuring. Which Trump did with the exception of only allowing American citizens returning..

Those death statistics being reported always indicated the casualties were aged Italians no focus was permitted on China or even if the victims were from China and the emphasis was on the speed of contagion. While doing so also ignored the direct connection those producers have with the Chinese Communist government which owns them.

Well, everyone has had plenty of notice to stock up.

I get my meat from a local butcher shop that gets it's meat from local farms anyway.

Anyone getting "caught" by these "shortages" hasn't done minimal planning.

I’ve got dozens.

In my house the absolute rule is respect. Only subhuman animals that are barely housebroken raise their voice or use insulting terms towards another human merely because of their politics or religion. If someone is my friend or family, they WILL be shown exactly the respect one would wish shown to oneself, not subject to debate or discussion.

There never is, nor could there ever be, a reason to be uncivil to someone merely because of their views. Particularly if they are family, they can simply do no wrong and I’ll help ‘em move a body if need be. Family is stronger than any “morality” or law.
