Australians have only heard of Tara Reade in the last 2 days. ABC Australia have precisely 3 articles, beginning 2 days ago, including this one, attributed at bottom to Associated Press. however, I cannot find an AP piece with some of these lines:

2 May: ABC Australia: Associated Press: Joe Biden ‘unequivocally’ denies he sexually assaulted former staffer Tara Reade in the 1990s, in first public comment about claim
(Yesterday updated 6min ago)
Mr Biden’s campaign issued a statement in early April denying the allegation, and a number of former Biden staffers have defended their boss in interviews.
This week, two of Ms Reade’s associates said she previously told them about elements of her allegations...

Allegation potentially damaging to both Democrats and Republicans
Republicans worried about President Donald Trump’s increasingly precarious political standing are seizing on the allegation to portray Democrats as hypocrites who only defend women who allege wrongdoing against conservatives.
They are digging in even though it could renew attention on the multiple sexual assault allegations lodged against Mr Trump...

Mr Trump has been accused of assault and unwanted touching by numerous women, allegations he denies.

to put it mildly, no reports on the matter in Australia (most were aired first today) have any context or any detail.

Thanks for the link. I see Joe's asked the Senate to release Reade's complaint that she filed in 1993. She supposedly filed it with the Senate Office that oversaw employee rights in the Senate workplace. Any complaint should have been forwarded to the Federal Division of Human Rights or Civil Rights. It's possible that complaint is sitting in an old filing cabinet in the basement of some Federal building. It's too bad she never kept a copy of it. It would be worth its weight in gold today. I've also wondered if Joe ever used any of the funds in the Congressional slush/hush fund to pay off any of the women he harassed.
