Some doctors, economists and educators argue stay-at-home orders defy data and medical science, and are hurting young people the most.
Former chief of neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical Center, Dr. Scott Atlas, says an overestimation of the fatality rate of those infected has created an unwarranted panic.
...
The overwhelming majority of people do not have any significant risk of dying from COVID-19.
Pointing to a recent Stanford University antibody study, he explained that the data indicates a fatality rate of infection from the coronavirus of between 0.1 and 0.2 percent, a risk far lower than previous World Health Organization estimates, which were 20 to 30 times higher and motivated isolation policies.
In California, the positive tests are at least 12 percent with a .003 percent death rate, two Bakersfield Emergency Room doctors calculated. Other reports conducted in California indicate those with antibodies total in the hundreds of thousands in counties whose residents have not been counted or factored into the data the state is reporting..
In New York, Dr. Daniel G. Murphy, an emergency physician on the frontlines dealing with the coronavirus at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, argued inordinate fear is misguiding the public response. COVID-19 is more prevalent than we think, he explained. Many New Yorkers already have the COVID-19 infection, whether they are aware of it or not. As of today, over 43 percent of those tested are positive in The Bronx.

Of 6,570 confirmed COVID-19 deaths fully investigated for underlying conditions to date, 6,520, or 99.2 percent, had an underlying illness, Atlas explained. If you do not already have an underlying chronic condition, your chances of dying are small, regardless of age. And young adults and children in normal health have almost no risk of any serious illness from COVID-19.

How to cut the death rate by up to 50%:
Secure the care centers.
How? Force employees there to be quarantined from their families for weeks on end?
But the overestimation of fatality rates got the propaganda arm of the democrat party(otherwise known as the Mainstream Media) what they wanted, a large death toll to hit President Trump over the head with during a Presidential Election year. It’s like how the MSM blamed Bush for Katrina. Not that I’m a Bush fan, but how could he prevent the deaths from Katrina? And how can President Trump prevent the legitimate deaths from the ChiCom virus?
“How to cut the death rate by up to 50%: Secure the care centers.”
Nonsense. The wife runs dozens of facilities. She had some deaths in two facilities, a few in 5, and zero in most others.
The WHO and CDC now recommend everyone wear a blindfold to protect you from seeing whats really going on
stanford dr jay bhattacharya has admitted his first survey suffers massive selection bias as his wife solicited friends and family for the survey. “Get a free test and peace of mind.”
the youtube drs are a wee bit nutty.
Projections for 2.2M American deaths and 500k British deaths were based on ZERO mitigation. No social distancing and no increased handwashing no facemask no lockdown etc
As our behavior changes so do the projections.
Having said that most D Governors went too far and most R Governors started too late.
Dr Fraudi disagrees.
Ask Governor Desantis. This was his very first course of action for the state of Florida when the Wuhan Virus struck the USA.
He focused immediately upon Florida’s vast number of Nursing Homes. No visitors. Distribution of PPE, anti-viral cleaning agents, etc...to those facilities first. Instituted screening of care personnel for symptoms of the disease prior to entering the facility when they return for their next shift.
Commonsense actions to protect the most vulnerable of our population.
All according to plan.
This was all giant hoodwink.
The stats indicate that up to 50% of the deaths are in care centers, even higher in Italy.
Man the care centers with National Guard.
Drastic measures securing care centers is far preferable to closing down the economy.
“The stats indicate that up to 50% of the deaths are in care centers, even higher in Italy.”
What ‘stats’?? Made up crap to scare you into submission even more. Elderly facilities are simply NOT seeing those deaths. Go get us the names of the dead. We’ll wait.
Commonsense actions to protect the most vulnerable of our population.

Have an 84-year-old relative in a very posh retirement home. The residents are stir-crazy. They appreciate the care, but they gather in the hallways, keeping close to their doors, to chat.
Biggest worry is running out of cat food/cat litter.
Has anyone noticed that Pennsylvania is becoming the new hotspot for virus?.... It’s obviously moving like a snowstorm from New York to neighboring New Jersey and now to neighboring Pennsylvania..... 3 densely populated areas that are close to each other..... And as the numbers rose, first in New Jersey, and now in Pennsylvania, they were simultaneously falling in New York..... A month ago Pennsylvania had a 150 deaths after being in lockdown for 2 weeks..... now they have 3200 deaths, 350 more than Sweden which has fairly similar population..... I thought the lockdown was supposed to prevent this kind of natural movement of a virus across different areas?...... But I guess the experts will tell us that if Pennsylvania had not locked down when they did they’d have 3 times as many dead by now....... Something similar is going on with Indiana in regard to its proximity to Michigan and Illinois..... And there has also been an uptick in Maryland as well, coinciding with uptick in neighboring Pennsylvania.... What remains to be seen is how far South this will head as the weather continues to warm up..... Will the hot weather be able to limit the damage In Southern States?..... Regardless of the answer to that question, it’s clear that the lockdowns have done nothing to disrupt this virus’ natural pattern of movement

Two thumbs up!!!
Same for MSN.
Italys median age is about 67 vs China at 47
