“Why do you let them go to the store?”
I had to look at your posting history to see if you were being serious (I think you are?).
It is just the 80+ man that goes to the store. And we are just the neighbors. I’ll let his wife try to keep him under control. We try to keep the shopping trips to once a week, sometimes more if they need medications.
But a few times now he just HAD to get some dog treats that were on sale at the local drug store or whatever. It is aggravating. We help out other elderly folks and try to be so careful. Then hear about their little excursions or workers that come into their homes unprotected, etc.
But folks have to do stuff I guess, no matter how old one is.
Exactly- rather than accept Cuomo’s interpretation of the data people should take a closer look at where the data comes from and how it was obtained to see what it really means.
So, did they count people who have it but were told to remain home unless it becomes unmanagable or who are stuck in nursing homes and die before making it to the ER?
Greatest understatement since the beginning of this circus!
Scaredy-cats need to just stay home and hide, the rest of us would like to get back to living.
So tired of the whiners and bullies.
When I get home, do the same as you....leave my shoes at the door...put the groceries away and wash my hands.
Lucky enough to have a community garden to putter around in the sunshine.
I'm 76.
In the end...all this is nothing....I just want to hug my children and grandchildren again.
In other words, I think he's just plain lying and these are NOT people in total confinement.
The one thing that NYC has that no one else has is a monstrous Public Transportation system.
Ill bet all of these people live in apartment buildings. So happy to own a private home right now.
Just the fact that 2 week mandatory quarantine is a cutoff makes 66% nonsense.
Might be family and friends coming in. I know elderly folks so desperate for a visit from somebody that they don’t insist on masks if the family/friends are stroppy about it.
This is just to save face so he doesn’t have to admit his policies were wrong. Now he can say “the science says we can now go out of the house”
Yep it’s purely a “save face” thing.
Cuomo should be prosecuted for outlawing the prescribing of Hydroxychloroquine and Zinc for the treatment of Covid19. He alone is responsible for the deaths of thousands. He an deadhead De Blosio should be prosecuted for the the sanctuary city and state concept the brought the Covid 19 into the New England States that started this Pandemic.
In other words, we need type of dwelling.
I live in an apartment project in Upstate. There are 4 units in my building with shared halls, doors and laundry.
This from an administration that still requires nursing homes to allow COVID patients back into the nursing home! (How many died?)
This from an administration that still prohibits Doctors from prescribing hydroxychloriquine (HCQ) - only hospitals can! (How many died?)
This from an administration who managed an HCQ study- but only allowed the drug to be used alone! Would not allow it to be taken the proven combination of HCQ, Zinc and Z-pak! (How many died?)
This from an administration that demanded 30,000 ventilators. Whoops. Never mind! (Double whoops - ventilators cause more harm than good!)
This from an administration who admitted that 99.2% of the deceased had underlying conditions - biggest being hypertension, obesity, diabetes or heart disease! But the rest of us have to shelter at home!
This from an administration who forces us to wear facemasks (after being told they don’t work), but it doesn’t apply to them!
I’m a NY’er. Cuomo runs a team of fools. Embarassing.
(Thanks all; I feel much better now..)
He’s leaving out “what type of housing is the 66% in...high rise, apt project, brownstone....rental or owned.
Also illegal multifamily dwellings. Code enforcement in NYC is a joke. NYC wants warm bodies and doesn’t care if they’re crammed together like sardines in a can.
I suspect the food supply or transmission in apartment buildings.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I agree Danny. It could be both vectors at work.
Air circulators in Apartment buildings could be spreading the virus , and just a few infected clerks handling food packaging could infect hundreds and so on.
Living in dense population centers obviosly is not conducive to good health.
Until the left starts getting real about using HCQ and Zinc as a preventative, as proven by the non infection of both Lupus patients and Arthritis patients who are on the drug for therapy, this epidemic will keep on trucking.
Here’s a stat I have NEVER seen: the percentage of WuFlu patients who know another WuFlu patient.
Bet that stat isn’t reported for a reason.
I agree....That little stat farce was to “prove” it wasn’t public transportation involved in the spread....which is ridiculous. Of course it was....impossible not to have been a primary source of the spread.
That's their plan.
