Travel From New York City Seeded Wave of U.S. Outbreaks

New York City’s coronavirus outbreak grew so large by early March that the city became the primary source of new infections in the United States, new research reveals, as thousands of infected people traveled from the city and seeded outbreaks around the country.

The research indicates that a wave of infections swept from New York City through much of the country before the city began setting social distancing limits to stop the growth. That helped to fuel outbreaks in Louisiana, Texas, Arizona and as far away as the West Coast.

During this time Cuomo, de Blasio and company were telling NYers there was nothing to fear and they could continue life as usual.

I would love to know the percentage of cases Upstate that are tied to either nursing homes or corrections facilities. My bet is a lot of Upstate counties are locked down for outbreaks that are really pretty isolated.

BTW, question for Cuomo: Upstate has positives and thrir direct contacts running around loose up here with ZERO civil or criminal penalties. But you’re threatening healthy people with legal action?!

One thing the modelers don't take into account is the nursing homes that have already been hit. They assume random infection and extrapolate from there. But the low hanging fruit has been hit, and decent quality nursing homes have protected the vast majority of their patients.

Already been hit, but patients may not have been exposed. Plus new residents and staff come in all the time. This problem is going to be something nursing homes, even the good ones, are going to be dealing with for quite a while.

These two need to be held responsible for the nursing home deaths and the banning of medication that could keep the early detected out of the death houses as well

I have neighbors who hail from Johnstown, PA. They say a bunch of New Yorkers showed up in town just as the lockdown talk was starting.

There was an early outbreak in Sun Valley, ID after a group of skiers from NYC showed up early in the pandemic. It is rare that anything good EVER comes out of NYC (President Trump is an outlier).

So, when the Chicoms send their infected lackeys throughout the world to spread coronavirus, other countries everywhere are outraged and try to disconnect from any involvement with China. What will the people in this country do when they realize New York essentially did the same thing in the US? Will people here decide to avoid visiting or doing business of any sort with Cuomoland? This is typical NON-reporting by the New York Times. It is what the NYT DOES NOT say and that word is FLORIDA.

New Yorkers fled to Florida to escape the scourge. Many of the Florida cases and deaths are attributed to the thousands of New Yorkers who left in February and early March and came to Florida.

New Rochelle in Westchester County was the first cluster...By Cuomo not shutting down or at least cleaning Metro North & NYC Subway trains he let the spread rapidly multiply. Finally this week he started cleaning the subways, removing the rolling homeless shelters from city transportation. Cuomo forced nursing homes to admit Covid patients because he was panicking over beds in hospitals. He allowed NYC families to travel across the state via busses to visit family in the State prisons. His lapdog press is afraid to confront him on all the mistakes he made.....

John Carpenter’s 1981 movie, “Escape from New York,” turns out to be the proper evolution for that vile city. Build a huge wall around it. Make it a maximum security prison. Let its fate be decided by the rats who chose to infest it. NYC creates NOTHING the rest of us need. We can breathe free air and grow and manufacture what we need out here in flyover country. It’s a city that cannot sustain itself. It cannot live within its means. It must rob the rest of us to survive.

First case in Boise, ID was from a woman that came back from a conference in New York City. We are sandwiched between Boise’s (Ada) and Sun Valley’s (Blaine) counties (worst hit in ID), and have been lucky to only have 30 cases with 2 deaths.

I live about 60 road miles from Spokompton, WA. Lots of cases there and in Coeur d’Alene. Only 4 in my county (Bonner) with no deaths. Contact tracing showed they all contracted the virus away from here so there has not been any community spread. Lucky! Are you one of those crazy people who works in a flying gas station our of Mountain Home?

This is the NYT attempt to take the focus off China as the only exporter of caronavirus. The NYC virus did come from Europe which came from China. Think — Chinese New Year and 5 million self deported from Wuhan before the nucleus city was militarily quarantined. The West Coast virus has already been traced directly back to China. Shame on the NYT for their continued dishonesty.
