‘Never Seen Anything Like This’: Experts Question Dropping of Flynn Prosecution
NYT ^ | May 7, 2020 | Charlie Savage

WASHINGTON — The Justice Department’s decision to drop the criminal case against Michael T. Flynn, President Trump’s former national security adviser, even though he had twice pleaded guilty to lying to investigators, was extraordinary and had no obvious precedent, a range of criminal law specialists said on Thursday.

“I’ve been practicing for more time than I care to admit and I’ve never seen anything like this,” said Julie O’Sullivan, a former federal prosecutor who now teaches criminal law at Georgetown University.

The move is the latest in a series that the department, under Attorney General William P. Barr, has taken to undermine and dismantle the work of the investigators and prosecutors who scrutinized Russia’s 2016 election interference operation and its links to people associated with the Trump campaign.

Yeah. I know. It was a hypothetical that wasn’t even as bad as the real situation.

I can’t even wrap my head around what actually happened. If you did what she did as an ordinary cleared worker the federal prosecutors would have a field day with you. The charges would be filed on Day One and the circus would never end.

NYT is ENEMEDIA Minion #1.

As for Erick Holder — After colluding against America with Obama and ValJar, he now chairs the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, a group supporting Democratic candidates in state races ahead of the redistricting that will follow the 2020 Census.

Margaret Sanger wanted to kill all babies for 10 years. White black brown red yellow. She wanted no more babies after World War II for a period of 10 years and didn’t give a damn if a woman would not be able to conceive and carry after the first ban was lifted. Planned Parenthood has never been about choice.

They are heavily invested in a lie and they aren’t about to admit it now.

Julie O’Sullivan, a former federal prosecutor who now teaches criminal law is safely protected at Georgetown University and doesn't have to worry about being fired.

An ‘ex’ is something that has been, and a ‘spurt’ is a drip under pressure, so an ‘expert’ is just a person who’s been a drip under pressure!

Very true.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out. I do not see the media backing down or suddenly admitting that President Trump is an OK guy. The media isn’t going to do that.

On the other hand, they are backed into a corner, arguing that “water isn’t wet”. I don’t know how long they are going to be able to play that game.

It’s like an irresistible force is about to meet an immovable object.

How can a man who has had a case against him dropped be sentenced for a crime he legally speaking never committed?

So Julie you have no problem withholding Brady material, lying to a court, presenting false statements in order to obtain surveillance warrants and threating a defendant's family with made up crimes and prison in order to coerced a guilty plea?

You Julie are part of the problem!

“I’ve been practicing for more time than I care to admit and I’ve never seen anything like this,” said Julie O’Sullivan, a former federal prosecutor who now teaches criminal law at Georgetown University.

NOTHING else in the entire article of O'Sullivan.

Just a cherry picked quote, with no context.

“A pardon would have been a lot more honest,” said Samuel Buell, a former federal prosecutor who now teaches criminal law at Duke University.

The law regarding what counts as “material” is extremely forgiving to the government, Mr. Buell added. The idea is that law enforcement is permitted to pursue possible theories of criminality and to interview people without having firmly established that there was a crime first.

Again, just a cherry picked quote, with no context.

James G. McGovern, a defense lawyer at Hogan Lovells and a former federal prosecutor, said juries rarely bought a defendant’s argument that a lie did not involve a material fact.

“If you are arguing ‘materiality,’ you usually lose, because there is a tacit admission that what you said was untrue, so you lose the jury,” he said.

And again.
OBVIOUSLY, the author had an agenda. Wrote the story they wanted, then cherry picked quotes, to try and give veracity.

“They are heavily invested in a lie and they aren’t about to admit it now.”

Yes.

As they face ever more unavoidable truths, cognitive dissonance will grow in them.

I expect to see much wailing and gnashing of teeth. But, will the demons exit their bodies?

Coverup artist Barr lets Flynn go rather than see more incriminating docks come out through the trial process.

Must be some serious finger pointing back to a certain anointed one.

Trump on Fox and Friends this morning with strong signals that all involved will be outed.

He knows what’s coming and they have underestimated his tenacity and resilience compared to past Pubbie , go along to get along Presidents.

Go Donald.

Has discrediting and dismantling the FBI been a written goal of communists for many decades now? Yes and It is recorded history.

Nobody could have envisioned what form it would take though. So now we stand at a crossroads. Do nothing and the rot will continue. I do not believe President Trump to be a man of inaction, so I am hopeful a thorough cleaning will be done. General Flynn would be just the man for the job.

Flynn - Covington - Holder (Obama/ValJar)

There’s the prime triangulation in this.

No.As with the “Don’t care that Joe Biden molested a woman” crowd, they will get Trump at all costs.

Look at the Globalist cabal’s shutdown of the Western economy.

And that isn’t simply directed at Trump. BRexiters and everyone else who said NO to their agenda.
