Harry Dunn suspect Anne Sacoolas ‘wanted internationally’ after Interpol Red Notice issued

The alleged killer of teenage motorcyclist Harry Dunn is “wanted internationally” after an Interpol Red Notice was issued for her arrest, a family spokesperson has said.

The 19-year-old died when his motorbike crashed with a car outside a US military base in Northamptonshire in August last year.

Anne Sacoolas, the alleged driver of the car and the wife of a US intelligence official based at RAF Croughton, claimed diplomatic immunity following the crash and was able to return to her home country, sparking an international controversy.

Sacoolas, 42, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving in December but an extradition request submitted by the Home Office was rejected by US secretary of state Mike Pompeo in January.

I don’t know many details of this story, but I heard a blip that said she was driving on the wrong side of the road.

Of course, it is the UK, Australia and Hong Kong that drive on the wrong side of the road. Dangerous for a foreigner to cross the street in London without getting used to the traffic patterns.

Yeah, no, she needs to be extradited.

Why did Pompeo reject extradition?

American woman killed a 19 year old British motorcyclist by gross negligence, and ran off to the US to escape criminal liability. The US has refused to extradite her, supposedly to prevent erosion of diplomatic immunity, but neither the killer nor her husband seems to have actually been diplomats. Many British people feel betrayed for good reason. She should return to Britain voluntarily and face justice. The British don’t realize members of the US IC and apparently their family members think they are above the laws that govern the little people.

No idea. It’s not like she’d face torture or execution if found guilty. At most she’d get a couple years in UK’s equivalent of Club Fed and more likely she’d get probation.

Why did Pompeo reject extradition?

That's a good question. I'm not a fan of diplomatic immunity with an ally like the UK. The Blokes (British) says they determined she does not have diplomatic immunity but maybe Pompeo disagrees.

This will hang over her head for the rest of her life. She will never be able to set foot outside the USA again. Plus she has to live with killing a young man just starting his life. That’s a helluva cross to bear for anyone with a conscience.

Your wrong. She is being setup, probably by anti-Trumpers. My wife, who has relatives there, has been following this story very closely.

It was not a hit and run. The driver called the ambulance and waited 45 minutes for it to arrive. She was NOT DUI. And there were similar accidents later indicating an obstruction on that stretch of the road.

Further, the accusers pretend that she escaped without British knowledge, but that too is contrary to other facts.

So essentially, they want to throw a spouse of a member of the Trump’s diplomatic corp in jail after a show trial. Until her side of the story comes out and we can judge for ourselves I say keep her here.

They’re calling for up to 14 years. in my experience, most people in Ireland and England do no jail time for such an accident. Look at Matthew Broderick after he killed 2 people in a wrong way accident in Ireland.

She falls under the definition of someone who legit has diplomatic immunity.

Why should we blow up the system to accomodate feverish feelings?

A Woman made a left turn in front of our Nephew who was riding His Motorcycle to work. He was killed instantly.

Nothing happened to the Moronic Woman. She had the minimum legal amount of Liability Insurance and She was never charged with a crime.

My Nephew’s Family was lucky to get enough money to Bury him by the time the dust settled.

Don’t care. I also have relatives there and they tell me a different story.

Normal people do not get diplomatic immunity for this and have to return to face trial. I fail to see how the wife of an intel officer should have been covered by such immunity.

They call for long sentences for everything there, and then never assign any.

Plus her husband is a spook, not a diplomat. Not sure diplomatic immunity even applies.

This is not a normal situation. It’s a politically motivated witch hunt. This is exactly what diplomatic immunity is for - to protect our citizens from being railroaded by foreign governments or being persecuted through a miscarriage of justice.

That said, what have your relatives said that contradict the facts I’ve presented? Prove me wrong.

Thank you. His Mother will never get over it. Her only child.

The Kid did two Tours in Afghanistan, Marine Artillery Unit. Came back without a scratch.

Graduated College, just started a great job and met a nice Gal. He went out to Lunch one day and the accident happened on his way back to work.
