Fauci delivered the somber warning Tuesday to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions during a hearing about the road to reopening businesses across the nation. U.S. officials have pointed to the development of a vaccine as a key turning point in the Covid-19 pandemic, even though it will take a at least 12 to 18 months.
As experimental vaccines are created, they will also need to be mass produced to be administered to the more than 7.6 billion people around the world. In the meantime, there are not yet proven treatments for virus.
Fauci’s comments highlight another complexity in the path to a vaccine.
“You can have everything you think that’s in place and you don’t induce the kind of immune response that turns out to be protective and durably protective,” Fauci said of a vaccine. “So one of the big unknowns is, will it be effective?"

Yes, he said even rural counties should not open until ALL federal guidelines have been met and everyone is completely healthy.

Thus far, after working since 2003 we still haven’t developed a vaccine for SARS-CoV yet, so how hard can it be to develop a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2, AKA Covid-19?
So he says the lock down will continue until there’s a vaccine but is now saying there’s no guarantee a vaccine will work.

He also stated that despite what we keep hearing, there is evidence that having the antibodies will produce a degree of immunity and even though there hasn't been enough time to "scientifically evaluate" that fact, there's enough other science out there to make it a good bet.
Some of his statements are being taken out of context by both the Fake News, the Dems, and the Fauci haters...he's been staying pretty much within medical scientific bounds....and even responded that the Admin hasn't put up any roadblocks/censorship, etc.
The virus will always be with us. It will reappear in the Fall, in the following Fall, and in all the Falls of all the years after that. Just like the flu. Just like the common cold. Just like many other viruses.
If we wait until there are NO MORE cases ANYWHERE of COVID-19, we will destroy ourselves, our economy, and the world.
That’s what will happen if we don’t put a stop to this madness.
The yearly flu vaccines are ineffective, yet they still push them everywhere, to everyone. And the flu maybe kills a few hundred to several thousand a year. They do not know, they just estimate it, just like they did with Covid-19 projections.
