A Michigan barber said Sunday he plans to stay open in defiance of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s extended order on nonessential businesses, insisting that the Democratic governor “has no concept at all of the damage she’s doing.” p>Owosso barber Karl Manke, 77, received a cease-and-desist order Friday from the state Department of Health and Human Services, delivered by state police, after his shop reopened Monday. Ms. Whitmer has extended closure of nonessential businesses to May 28.
“This has absolutely brought me to my knees. I just couldn’t do that. I’m a small business owner,” said Mr. Manke on “Fox & Friends.” “She has no concept at all of the damage she’s doing to this state, and to families.” Mr. Manke, who has been in business since 1961, said he closed his shop March 21 as the state shut down for the novel coronavirus pandemic.
He and his customers wore masks last week at Karl Manke’s Barber & Beauty, as shown in video and photos, and used an ultraviolet sanitizer to disinfect his tools, but Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office said his operation represented an “imminent risk” to public health.

This should give you an idea and a taste what it it would be like living in an outright socialistic dictator ship. Times of duress can bring out some of the best as well as some of the worst in people as well as show who you can trust and rely on and who you can not. Place certain people in a position of power and before long it goes to their head and it does not take long until they come up with decisions which either reflect their ignorance or stupidity or are based on their insatiable desire to impose their will and control their fellow mans behavior.
The current coronavirus crisis or epidemic is rife with plenty of examples, a few of hem given in this article. One of my favorites is Gretchen Whitmer, Governor of Michigan rules is, that during this virus epidemic or dilemma, whatever name suits you, power boating is out but any other type of boating is permissible. It either shows plain ignorance or her true socialistic convictions have come to light and to the surface.

History is full of such examples and if taken to the extremes we end up with places like North Korea and anything in between. This is another reason why the founders of this Great Nation came up with the Second Amendment, as most of them were great judges of human behavior.

Barbers and hair salons have been open in Georgia for a couple of weeks now.
