Announce that the US has no objections to Japan and South Korea going nuclear.

Of course, they will quit buying our debt. And Starbucks, Apple and some of the rest may move its headquarters to Brussels. And we can stop dishing out so many H1B visas. And China could start buying more pork from Australia.
But they should never had gotten MFN status to begin with before making major structural reforms.
