I find it telling that the republican senate had numerous hearings and interviewed all the key players when they were trying to prove Trump was working with the russians. But now that the illegal use of fisa and the intelligence agencies is being uncovered, not a single hearing. mcconnelle is, and has been all along, directly supporting the resistance.

......as a presidential candidate and also as president-elect, Trump and his aides were the major targets of the
unprecedented misuse of American intelligence by the "scandal-free" Obama admin in several egregious ways
:

<><> fraudulently obtaining FISA warrants to spy on innocent American citizens;
<><> promoting the phony Hillary/DNC-funded Steele filled with lies about Trump;
<><> politicizing intelligence analysis; <><>leaking intelligence;
<><> as well as Obama spying on other political opponents and journalists. (h/t foxnews.com)

NY POST EDITORIAL BOARD--May 13, 2020

EDITED EXCERPT Trump calls Flynn unmasking 'a massive thing.' With the release of the names of more than a dozen officials who asked to have Gen. Michael Flynn’s identity “unmasked,” the apparent effort to take down President Trump — before he even took office — is starting to look like a broader malevolent Team Obama scheme than first thought.....as Obama primped and acted the scandal-free prima donna.

The disclosed names who asked to have Gen. Michael Flynn’s identity “unmasked,” include ex-Vice President Joe Biden, Obama Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, FBI boss James Comey and intel chiefs John Brennan and James Clapper. Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell sent the list of names to Congress on Wednesday after they were declassified.

Unmasking reveals the ID's of innocent people caught in conversations with foreign nationals who are under surveillance. The Obama cabal asked to have such people unmasked in the days and weeks prior to what is now cited as a key Jan. 5, 2017, meeting with Obama.

Obama’s team was obsessed with Trump’s foreign-policy team, particularly Gen Flynn (who was to replace Obama's NSA Susan Rice).

Were these (A) legitimate worries, or (B) a vendetta? Or (C) just anger that Trump wanted to pursue a foreign policy different from the sainted Obamas?

And given how the FBI pushed to bring down Flynn, the broad Team Obama interest in Flynn’s conversation certainly raises red flags.

========================================

Another criminal possibility is the avalanche of unmaskings requested in those last days of Obama.

Obama's UN Amb Samantha Power apparently requested some 300 in those final days when she had no reason to unmask
and no legitimate purpose in having the names.

Were the Obama officials selling information to the highest bidder?

The names of Trump's inner circle, alone, would have been worth a bundle to foreign operatives.

He attended the infamous Jan 5 meeting, and now Biden’s role is being called into question. On broadcast TV, 2020 candidate Biden put on his best gaffe-a ct, and claimed he knew “nothing about those moves to investigate Michael Flynn.”

Yet when pressed, Biden admitted straight into the cameras that he “was aware that there was — that they asked for an investigation, but that’s all I know.”

OK,if so, ........why was Biden intent on requesting the name of the unmasked person (Flynn) who spoke to the Russian?

Biden and the rest of the "scandal-free" Obama crew have a lot of explaining to do.

At some point, AG William Barr and prosecutor John Durham will likely put all the pieces of this peculiar, possibly criminal, puzzle in place.

In what Hollywood might regard as an Academy-level "Stupidest Move by An Obama Insider," his then-National Security Adviser
Susan Rice wrote about that Jan. 5, 2019 meeting which ignorantly suggests then-president Obama instructed his underlings
"to be careful" about what information they shared with the Trump folks regarding Russia.

That's just one crime Rice confessed to......via electronic transfer.
