Liberals send COVID-positive infected people into nursing homes in the US. Germany doesn’t. That is a huge reason Germany has fewer deaths.
They don’t have our liberal mass-murderers in positions of power like we choose to.

Re the four countries Humphrey mentions, two are basically ISLANDS (Singapore and Taiwan, which means they can contain their population by simply not letting any planes fly (without testing each passenger). The same for ships. Nobody is going to swim away.
South Korea only borders on No. Korea so nobody is going there right now, and Korean society is pretty well organized. I saw this when I visited there in the 70’s.
As for Germany, I think it is a crapshoot. Are they seriously going to totally control 7 million Turks and other Moslems, esp. the militant ones? Doubt it. The good Turks/Moslems will obey government directives but the “Young Turk types” will give them the Hitler Seig Heil salute, the middle finger, and then do what they want to, including supporting ISIS, Al Qaeda, Erdogan the dictator, Assad the slaughterer, any anti-Israel groups, anti-Christian groups, and radical clerics/mosques.
Americans have paid a tremendous price for our freedom(s) and we intend to keep them. Our recent family included veterans (military and civilian) of Iwo Jima, CWS, VN, Kosovo/Gulf War I, and Operation Iraqi Freedom (fortunately with only one, WW II, getting wounded, 3 Purple Hearts).
We will not go quietly into the night. We will be Meatloaf’s “ Freedom Bats Out of Hell”.
