So, have they decided to go coast to coast, yet?
How many miles were repaired along with new construction?
Who Cares? Its all new wall here in South Texas. Its not repair. Its replace.
187 miles, moving right along.
Most people who can get over the landing mat, cannot get over the bollards (even before the concertina is added).
The new bollard wall also comes with all weather, high speed road for response, grid powered stadium lights, powerful cameras monitored by software and humans in the command center, and a variety of alarms and sensors (that bring detection rate near 100%).
It is a complete "Wall System", that effectively shuts off the areas where it is installed. The President has reported, that is working even better than it was projected to, when it was designed.
Where ever illegal traffic is flowing (previous barrier or not) this new system works to stop the great bulk. No "caravans" will be mob rushing over these towering (as high as fourth storey window ledge) barriers, and no yahoo is going to be able to ram their vehicle through and keep going - both of which happened routinely with the old barrier.
