Do it anyway. Film the jack booted thugs tearing up the garden.
Resist.

The problem in my area is not people planting community gardens in their front yards, but using their front yards as parking lots for junky old cars and RVs. Because the cost of housing is so high here, more and more people are using single-family homes basically as apartments.
Four or five unrelated people share a house, and they all have cars, and parking them all creates an eyesore. I'm at risk of my middle-class neighborhood turning into a slum.

Vietnamese...he’d be able to grow his garden back there.

years ago I had a vietnamese neighbor who planted rice and other things in his small backyard..
To: Slainte
He can plant it on either side or back yard. That seems plenty. Why the need to virtue signal?

Not likely......

The prohibition pretty much is consistent with wealthy Democrat overreaction and intolerance.

I live in a small city in the Central Valley. In my morning walks I pass by several homes that have gardens in their front yard. My only thought is why I can grow vegetables as good looking as there’s. (Hint they spend more time at it then I do).

God forbid we become self-reliant. That's what the power hungry left is trying to prevent.

You just can't make this stuff up. If you think that is an overreach, how about the sky above you?
Colorado – The only state that it is completely illegal to harvest rainwater. Other than that each house is allowed up to 110 gallons of rain barrel storage. Utah – 2,500 gallons max for rainwater harvesting systems. A permit is required. Ohio – Rainwater harvesting is legal, but there are codes and regulations that must be followed... New Mexico – Some rainwater harvesting systems need a permit, but this state offers payable incentives for green building such as rainwater harvesting... Rush tells the story, every Thanksgiving, of the Pilgrims experiment in “community gardening”.
