Washington Post reaction will be interesting
Does Jill know Joe is talking to people today?
Agreed with Biden. Broken clock syndrome.
High taxes as a foriegn entity until all Indian H1Bs are removed as employees or contractors and all Communist Chinese garbage is removed from its listings.
Pay taxes and eliminate the Postal Service’s discounts to Amazon. Don’t have first hand knowledge of that, but I have heard they get a pretty good break on postal shipping rates. That would be anti-competitive to small fry local businesses.
I rarely ever do business with Amazon, but I have a couple of times because they could get what I needed.
Channeling Harry Reid?
Apparent Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden told CNBC on Friday that Amazon should start paying their taxes.

It’s OK. Bezos “ain’t black”.
Gee Biden, you were right next to the President for 8 years, never thought to figure out why Amazon officially never makes a profit so they don’t get taxed and fix it? Oh no of course not. Only people out of power ever seem to bitch about the tax code. And, BTW, it’s because they reinvest the money, to grow the business. It’s actually a good thing.
Maybe whites who vote dim can be called honorary blacks.
Joe cant believe that a river can make so much money.
Trump was pretty up front about it during the campaign. Doesn't appear to have changed anything, though.
I think the better question is, does Joe Biden know that he’s talking to people today? And is Joe Biden aware that he’s a candidate for the office of President of the United States?
I’m only half joking. Braindead Biden’s in a really bad mental state. And while it’s hilarious to watch the apparent Democratic candidate for President mentally disintegrating live on camera, it’s also kind of sad in a way that this tired old man is being used as a pawn by people who hate President Trump so much, they’ll stick anybody up there to try and beat him.
Hate to break it to slo jo, but corporations do not pay taxes. It’s an expense passed on to the consumer.
Since when do we, as conservatives, want to see higher taxes on corporations?
Because for a corporation, taxes are just another business expense.
Expenses are always part of the price of the product or service. When they’re low, competition forces the prices downward. When they’re high, costs forces the price upward. Too high, the business stops making, selling or goes bankrupt.
The business doesn’t pay the tax, the consumer does.
Econ 101; supply & demand, etc.
To liberals, carpa-rayshuns are endless pools of money.
Hey, Joe... How do you know they ain’t paying “taxes”?? Are they following the laws that you and your filthy ilk passed?
What tax laws are they breaking, Joe? And Joe, how about you and Hunter paying the taxes on all that skimmin’ ya’ll did in the Ukraine? Inquiring minds would like to know.
From all accounts, Amazon has paid every cent of tax it legally owes. No one, including Amazon, has any legal or moral obligation to pay more.
If you think Amazon doesn’t pay enough, then blame Congress, not Amazon.
So Amazon doesnt pay their taxes?
Evidently Biden, like most politicians, dont understand how tax calculations are done. Nor do they understand the logic of them.
The follow question would be to ask Biden, What specific tax policies/regulations would you change to increase Amazons liability and how would that affect the other businesses using them?
He would not be able to answer.
Amazon rolls its money into infrastructure. That is counted as depreciation. The ability to depreciate capital purchases allows the US economy to remain efficient and superior.
That is beyond most politicians ability to comprehend.
I’m sure Biden and Bezos will reach an understanding after the election, once Joe has more flexibility.
Pay taxes and eliminate the Postal Services discounts to Amazon. Dont have first hand knowledge of that, but I have heard they get a pretty good break on postal shipping rates. That would be anti-competitive to small fry local businesses.
This is how Amazon scams the Post Office
Amazon has 3rd party shippers, some ship from Amazon (they send their items to Amazon, they store and ship it) or they ship from their own location. You can buy postage from Amazon, but Amazon doesn’t forward the amazon rate to their 3rd party sellers, instead they charge Post Office Commercial rates, which are a small discount from their retail rates. So when these sellers buy postage on Amazon, lets say it is $5, they pay amazon $5 from the sale proceeds, they print the shipping label and send it through the post office. However Amazon pays the post office $2 for that postage and Amazon pockets the 3 bucks, plus the commission for the sale and plus the payment processing fee.
So Amazon makes money from selling USPS postage while the post office is asking for a bailout.
