A little after 8 a.m. on July 20, 2001, a couple arriving for an appointment opened an unlocked front door at an office in the Florida panhandle town of Fort Walton Beach and discovered a woman lying on the floor, dead. Her name was Lori Kaye Klausutis and she was just 28.
The police said they found no signs of foul play. The medical examiner concluded her lonely death was an accident. She had fainted, the result of a heart condition, and hit her head on a desk, he said.
Now, nearly 20 years later, Klausutis's death has captured the attention of the country's most prominent purveyor of conspiracy theories - the president of the United States - who has without evidence speculated that she might have been murdered and that the case should be reopened.
The reason for President Donald Trump's fixation: At the time of her death, Klausutis was working for a Republican congressman from Pensacola named Joe Scarborough - the same Scarborough who today, as host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," is a fierce critic of Trump and has in recent weeks decried the president's handling of the coronavirus pandemic as a failure.
"A lot of interest in this story about Psycho Joe Scarborough," Trump tweeted Sunday, the latest in a string of recent tweets on the matter in which the president has unleashed a torrent of false allegations, mis-characterizations and baseless rumors. "So a young marathon runner just happened to faint in his office, hit her head on his desk, & die? I would think there is a lot more to this story than that? An affair? What about the so-called investigator?"
A day earlier, Trump claimed without evidence that the case was now a "big topic of discussion in Florida," .....

This is the conspiracy theory. It’s so contrived, and it certainly sounds made up, like something you’d see an obvious guilty defendant tell the judge on Law & Order.
These Deep Staters from the political, academic and media world all have dirty laundry they need to cover up. Funny how the DC Compost says Trump is spreading a “debunked conspiracy theory”, yet they’ve been pushing the Russian collusion story since the president was elected, and we know it’s a total fabrication!

I’m more interested in the Jeffrey Epstein case. Epstein was in Barr’s custody when he died. His alleged confederate, Ms Maxwell has reportedly disappeared. I never read Trump or Barr vowing to ulcer to the bottom of this disgusting (alleged) child molestation ring.

Where did you get that?
I add that the coroner involved in this case was fired 5 or 6 times, once BEFORE the bogus autopsy and several times after.
But the biggest bit of nastiness about this coroner is in 2011 or thereabouts they found a whole bunch of body parts in his refrigerator.
That’s what Trump means when he says the “so-called” coroner.
Scarborough and Gary Condit both benefitted from the terrorist attacks of 9-1-2001. Condit killed Levy and Scarborough had a young intern drop dead in his office from a previously unknown heart problem (at age28), hit her head and die.
Condit got a lot of attention, Scarborough not as much.
But they both faded from the public eye when America was attacked on 9-11.
