Sharyl Attkisson said that before he became AG, Jeff Sessions was heard expressing sympathy over her being spied upon by the Obama administration.

However, after Sessions became AG, Attkisson said that Sessions allowed Rod Rosenstein & the Justice Department to use taxpayer dollars to continue going after her.

I don’t know what happened to Jeff Sessions after he became the Attorney General, but he failed a lot of people when he got into that position.

Come on, Alabama, you can do better.

Here’s the question on the test that Sessions got wrong:

Can the Attorney General have a conflict of interest with legal activities that were identified during a counterintelligence investigation?

A. Yes
B. No (correct answer)

Exactly. We need fighters. Scrapers.

Otherwise, we will lose.

This is key: he could have reinstated himself once he understood that the entire Russian matter was a hoax...which became apparent rather quickly, but he sat on the sidelines for 2 years & almost cost Trump his presidency.

There’s no forgiving that action by Sessions.

I still like Sessions.

He was a solid senator.

If I lived there, I’d vote for him again.

What a shitshow.

However if I lived in Alabama, I would vote for the person Donald Trump asked me to vote for. I’d figure after all he has sacrificed, it would be the least I could do. His strong suit has NOT been staffing choices, however.

I'm past the assumptions I had for a long time that Sessions as U.S. AG was pulling the kind of Silent Enforcer style operation that he used when he was the man most responsible for bringing down what was left of the KKK after a lynching in Alabama in the 1980's.

But I do think there's something to Sessions' statement that if he hadn't recused himself it would have made it harder for Trump to be exonerated.

That being said, Session's age is a concern for electing him to another term that lasts 6 years.

Was he compromised or did he truly believe he was doing the honorable, gentlemanly thing by recusing?
Either way, I have no use for him because of the stress he added to POTUS during a crucial time.

Trump made a huge mistake in not firing Sessions as soon as the recusal was announced. “I didn’t appoint him to sit on the sidelines” would have been tge appropriate words.

He was not a brawler, probably was being whispered to by the likes of Paul Ryan and company (Trump is toast save yourself) so he acquiesced and gave in just like the Dems hoped.

“ Admittedly I know nothing about Tuberville, but if Alabama sends Sessions back to Congress I think I’ll throw up.”
******

Well, I never thought Tuberville was a very good coach. But, I’ll take him over The gutless Sessions As a senator.

I think it was planned all along.

"I will support you Mr. Trump if you make me Attorney General if you win".

Brilliant deep state contingency plan if Hillary should happen to lose in order to protect themselves. Sessions made a magnificent traitor.

Recusal has nothing to do with it.

Sessions blocked a real Investigation of the Deep state Coup.

And he refused to provide an update to the House, who knew Fraud Huber was sitting on the case and running out the Clock.

Sessions actually denied an Independent Investigation saying - the Coup was not extraordinary!

Sessions got in bed with the Deep State and let Rosenstein run the entire Dept - far, far past the Russian Hoax.

.

You are Correct.

They had something on Sessions and Sessions bet that the Deep State was going to get Trump.

Proves that just because someone is an effective legislator doesn’t mean they can be an effective executive. Different skill sets.

What should have happened was very simple.

When the GOP House had proof in 2017 of the FBI lying to Congress regarding Spygate they should gone to Sessions and recommended he unrecuse and appoint a special prosecutor to investigate. At that point Sessions should have recommended POTUS fire Mueller and his angry Democrats.

The Spygate special prosecutor should have moved with the speed of the Mueller Coup and seized all documents and electronic devices from the FBI and DOJ coupists. Coup over in 2017.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen because instead the GOP gave top cover to Mueller and his coupist Democrats. Now here we are near 4 years later with a trail of broken lives and still waiting for justice.
