A Democrat from Maryland just voted seven times on legislation in Congress. This is NOT what the Founders had in mind when they created representative democracy.

The Democrats are getting ready for vote by mail in November's general election.

If voting from home is permitted in Congress, is anyone really ever absent?

Is Congress ever really in recess?

Can you filibuster from home now? Phone it in?

can the minority whip extort proxy vote ballots from office holders in the party?

“You WILL vote the way the Party demands because I will cast your ballots!”

First proxy vote EVER. I don’t think there was a proxy vote in 1789.

How did a democrat vote 7 times?

Trump had a booming economy and Joe Biden is in decline. The Democrats only hope in November is to steal the election through mail-in voting. I don’t think the virus was originally created for this, but the Democrats clearly now hope to keep everyone at home so that mail-in voting is the only “sensible” course of action.

But stuff like this, and recent examples of voter fraud within the states, make it really clear that we cannot let them get their way. They have a strategy to steal the election. We need to blow that strategy out of the water.

Read the article, what does it mean? 1 Dem voted for himself and, by proxy, for 6 fellow Dems? That is less sensational than ‘voted 7 times’.

Oh I see, because they held 6 proxy votes plus their own.

What’s even more hilarious is they are all wearing bandanas and other worthless “masks”.

We could ask, how does the Sergeant At Arms know it’s them?

If, because of the virus, it is too dangerous to go to the polls and vote, then we should cancel the election and President Trump remain in office for the next four years....

Trump should immediately adjourn Congress if every last one of them doesn’t haul their worthless ass out of their mansions and show up for work.

The senate should refuse to consider the legislation as unconstitutional.

How did a democrat vote 7 times?

Seven times that they know of. I wonder what kind of voter ID Nancy set up for this. And if the Iowa counters are in charge of doing this counting.

Once again, there are no adults in Congress. At least any in charge of anything.

If a Dem is voting proxy for AOC it should only count as half a vote as she only has half a brain.

Theoretically, a citizen in Missouri is now being represented in some cases by a Representative from Massachusetts or California? How is that even remotely constitutional?

Recall how difficult it was for the founders to attend the early meetings. How they sacrificed to travel great distances. And after they did, how often they were attacked by ‘plagues’ in Philadelphia and Washington. The modern American politician is a disgusting piece of flesh who practices the trade not because of altruism; rather, it is done because it is enriching.

I can't see how anything voted on in this manner can be considered valid, it flies in the face of proper representation.

The article is unclear if the congress person from Maryland voted in stead of other representatives from her state, or representatives from other states--that would clearly be illegimate.
