The Black Panthers pulled a similar stunt around 1968 with the Black Panther coloring book. Seems that one of the Panthers had enough of a conscience to realize it was too violent for the kids, but other members made bullcrap claims that the FBI published them to expose “cracker” and “hillbilly” kids to, as a way of convincing their racist ignorant parents how violent Blacks really are.
