Hell, the United States has spent over a TRILLION DOLLARS trying to have “racial equality” It hasn’t worked and it never will.
But you go ahead BofA. Good luck!
ONE trillion? You’re not paying attention, Uni. The government blew through $1 trillion probably before 1970.
In 2014, the Heritage Foundation estimated the total spent through 2014 was $22 TRILLION (current dollars) and going up a trillion every year. That means it’s over $28 trillion given away so far.
A lot of that went to races other than black, but I’d wager black Americans received half of that.
Make that near $28 TRILLION
Total Cost of the War on Poverty
The financial cost of the War on Poverty has been enormous. Between 1965 and 2016, total means-tested welfare spending by federal and state governments cost taxpayers roughly $27.8 trillion in constant FY 2016 dollars. By contrast, the cost to the U.S. government for all military wars from the American Revolution to the present is $8 trillion in FY 2016 dollars.19

Calculations assume that war-designated expenditures in FY 2016 are the same as in FY 2015 (the most recent fiscal year for which data are provided in the Belasco report).
