There is something wrong with those people. My wife and I went to a craft sale they had in a town next to us (I go with her on these things, but...I am there to just take in the surroundings largely) and while she was looking at the wares, I was looking at the signs they had on the wall for teaching kids about religion.

Nowhere was God mentioned. But one of the signs said something to the effect of "Don't let anyone tell you what is good and what is bad, who is right and who is wrong. You decide that for yourself."

I admit, I must have had my mouth open reading that while my wife was looking at trinkets. Thinking for yourself is an important thing, as my tagline attests. But in a religious context? This is what they were teaching kids?

We have another church like that in another town, and they have had this banner up for the last four years:

I saw the banner had fallen down one day, and thought it was great, they might leave it down, but they put it back up.

There are three things the fill me fully with contempt for the people brandishing them: Bernie Sanders stickers, Elizabeth Warren signs, and Black Lives Matter banners. They speak volumes about the bearer, and not a single one of them can rise above the level of whale dung.

The ONLY good thing about the lockdowns and insurrection is that there has been hardly a peep about “Pride Month.”

Might be wrong of me, but since Christians lost Holy Week and Easter and the law enforcement community lost Police Memorial it does my wicked heart good to see the LBBTQRSTUVWXWZ+ lose their “holy month”.
