There was an Audi dealership in LA that was really busy emptying their lot as the “protesters” were gathering around. They must have sent all their employees and their families in there to evacuate the lot before dark.

Wow, that would be hard to do in a large dealership. Good for them for the foresight to have done that.
Putting the car keys in a lockbox with functioning remotes was not a smart idea. At a minimum they needed a heavy safe for the car keys or should have taken them off site. Or, better yet, evacuate the lot like the LA Audi dealership.
