Again piss poor writing by a FOX reporter. Confusing as well. Was the thief “injured” when his bomb exploded or was he “injured” or “WOUNDED” when the police shot him?
A lot of reporters incorrectly use the word “injured” for “wounds” sustained in criminal activity, usually gun fire by the police.
While it might seem like a little thing to quibble over, just the wrong use of a word can change the whole context/meaning of a story, and usually it is a “negative” against law enforcement or people defending themselves from criminal attacks.
