if these city police departments go away. And are to be policed by a county level PD..
What happens when the city is a “ sanctuary city” and the County is not?
Does this eliminate sanctuary cities and restore reciprocity between local and Fed Leo/ CB etc?
This could be one of those Unintended Consequences that could Really work out well!!!
And as MOST county level Leo tends to be elected, that could be a great thing as well!!
Many county sheriffs are more conservative than city police chiefs.
You offer the guy a ride to the city limit, then haul him in to the county jail and call ICE.
