U.S. stock-index futures swooned Thursday as investors worried about coronavirus cases rising again and digested Wednesday’s downbeat economic outlook from the Federal Reserve.
The market moves came even as the number of Americans filing for jobless benefits for the first time continued to decline in the most recent week.
What’s driving the market? The number of U.S. coronavirus infections passed the two million mark and over 112,000 Americans have died, according to Johns Hopkins University. Despite fewer cases being recorded in some cities and states, the seven-day average of new cases over the last two weeks is still rising in more than 20 states, leading investors to worry about a second wave of the epidemic just as business activity is resuming.
President Trump announced he will resume holding election rallies with the first in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 19th but he is not expected to require that attendees practise social distancing.

On a separate note. The reason why the Bush wing was coming out last week saying they do would not vote for President Trump in 2020 even though they voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 was because of the following. I have heard the Bush wing, the Romney wing, the McCain wing and even the Graham wing of the GOP right now are flooding the RNC convention with their delegates. They are going to attempt to remove President Trump from the ballot, and insert Colin Powell. Remember they tried it in 2016? That is why they cam e out last week.
Remember back in 2016 when you had guys like George Will in the media who was saying they did not have to nominate Trump because of a "near plurality" nonsense. I think he was a Jeb guy?
The dead give away was during the interview it was mentioned that Powell came in 3rd when he ran. So do not be surprise if this happens.
We need get pro Trump delegates to the convention that looks like it will be Jacksonville, Florida. Although not officially announced. Anyone can do it. Yet if you mention you are a strong Trump supporter they may try to block you.
The GOP Bush, Romney, McCain and Graham wings are going to try to remove President Trump by flooding the convention with their delegates.
This is all coming from the very wealthy that are always funding and pushing revolution. Look at guys like Marx and Lenin. They had a lot of money. Today it is people like Zuckerberg, Bezos, Soros, Oprah, etc... that are funding this
They fund and use groups like the media, Antifa and BLM to go into the minority neighborhoods and stir things up.
Most of Antifa are losers in life that have mass Stockholm syndrome. Most of them still live at home and never even dated a woman. A good portion of them have worthless degrees, and are mad they cannot get hired anywhere. So anything that represents what they wish they had they hate.
We can shut this whole thing down by going after the people funding this. Soros, etc...
DAVOS and the IMF have announced a Global Reset in 2021. So they want to make sure this happens and it is one of many reasons why they are trying to get President Trump out of the way.
The DOW change had nothing to do with the virus. It was the PPI and UI numbers, but the left-wing media still beats the virus drum.
Is it possible this is why they paid no attention to the virus during the protests?
Aside from the numbers being inflated, 112,000 in a country of around 350 million?

When I don’t see any “news” about the markets I know they are doing fine. Because about the only time you see news about the markets is when they are down.
Like 29k, 27K is a good time to take profit, there is that.

The DOW is reacting to anarchy in Liberal cities applauded by liberal elected officials, investors cannot believe what is being allowed, maybe normal people should take notice.

One thing I noticed a while back is how often the futures set the gain/loss for the day. Look at volume numbers for each day, it’s a lot of trades executing at the opening, then little the rest of the day. It’s a weird thing.

Yep on the profit taking. I’m up a bunch on what we bought mid March but I’m a long haul type of guy.
It will make these protests look small and mean vs. large and happy.
“Media”(D) propaganda works. There is no denying that. They are remarkably effective in working Americans up into a panicked lather.
Dow goes up and down, debt only goes up. The economy at large has many fundamental problems. None of those factors have been looked at. One can only keep on spending without even attempting to cut .Gov.
