The nation's top general said Thursday he was wrong for taking part in President Donald Trump's controversial church photo op last week.

"I should not have been there," Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley said in an address during a National Defense University commencement ceremony. "My presence in that moment and in that environment created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics."

For you military guys: If the CIC asks the general to come, does the general realistically have any choice? I’m sure if the CIC commanded him to come he’d have no choice.

PLEASE remember ValJar said at the end of their terms in the WH, that they had put many, many people in places to keep our ideas active for decades. These people are all becoming active again, just on cue, right?

Why has this dim-wit general not been fired yet?

Is Milley wearing a maternity smock?

Hopefully Trump “retires” his fat-ass today,

At least move his ass to the motivational platoon.

IMO, that would fall under the category of "implied order."

Example: when I was a platoon leader, I'd say to a soldier, "would you do me a favor and do the daily checks on my jeep?" That was an implied order, because if the soldier said no, I'd turn it into a direct order.

Trump needs to tell Milley to go get a bucket of steam, because his limo needs to be steam cleaned.

Milley needs to resign, IMO. If he can't, probably because he enjoys the perks of his office so much, then Trump does need to fire him. The reason is simple: Trump has lost confidence in Milley's ability to lead.

The military is up to its eyeballs in politics, thanks to the public pronouncements from the top general and top sergeant major in the Air Force.

I’ll cut him a bit of slack, I remember Schwarzkopf as rather portly. My last Battalion Commander in Germany struggled with his weight, but it didn’t stop him from turning a C-3 battalion into a C-1 in less than 18 months.

I agree. He “shouldn’t” have been there.

BUT! You WERE THERE! So STFU already!

Embarrass the president to TRY and rescue your supposed tarnished reputation?

What a “MAN “. /s

Reinstate and appoint General Russel L. Honoré as the new chairman.

“On September 20, 2005, at a press conference with Nagin on Hurricane Rita, Honoré made headlines nationwide when he told a reporter not to get “stuck on stupid” in reference to a question about the government response to Hurricane Katrina.”

Trump’s walk across the plaza to the church really got under the left’s skin.

It's Ok to burn churches if the left does it.

I’m sure Trump deeply regrets doing this himself instead of just buying and operating his own politician like all of the other billionaires do.

The pre-planted collectivists in the Administration and military may not obey him, but he still has a lot of power to shame them in public.

Little Marky Milley acted very silly, and also willy nilly, when claiming he was wrong.

He tried to take a dump, on his Commander Trump, but only looked a chump, and sang his stupid song.

Instead he should have made, a statement for his grade, that he would always aid, his country to be strong.

I’ll cut him a bit of slack...

As a guy who was harassed about my weight for 28 years while in uniform, I will not.

You cannot enforce a standard that you can't keep.

Well, an honorable person cannot.

If we ever decided to stand shoulder to shoulder with our President, this sh*t would be over in a week. It would be bloody and violent.

The scary part is if you tried to do that, without having a bully pulpit from which to speak and organize you would be muzzled and/or eliminated before you could bring help.

I’m thinking that the Pentagon and most senior military staff is nothing more than a ginormous building full of Viindman’s, Mattis’, Kelly’s, McChrystal’s, Hayden’s and Powell’s.

If it were to ever get right again, pretty much everyone about the grade of O-6 should be fired ... no pension, no benefits, no being allowed to keep a clearance so they can get a job on the board of a defense contractor or hedge fund that is bidding on government contracts, NOTHING.
