FWIW, I give $500 a month to Mom’s unemployed hairdresser since the COVID lockdowns began and she is locked out of all the nursing homes where she made her living. They won’t even release paid-in-advance fees to help her.
I’m glad to help out because it’s a Christian thing & I have pension income. But some dude accosts me demanding `reparations’ and won’t take no for an answer, first the pepper spray comes out and then I draw. Too old to run. So far, a hard stare and “Don’t even think about it!” has worked for me.
