i agree- why shouldn’t they be protected under existing civil rights laws?? Too much knee jerk reaction here- with one guy calling Gorsuch a “disappointment”.
From the excerpt above: They conceded that sexual orientation was not on the minds of anyone in Congress when the civil rights law was passed.
I agree this does not affect anything. In fact, now sexual harassment laws apply to homosexuals, lesbians and transgendered as well.
Thanks, Supreme Court, nice to see that you are woke.
What I saw was this: We don’t need another law/amendment.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.Protecting the immoral drags the country down. We already got a taste of it in the Democratic cities, of late.
John Adams
Anti-discrimination laws are unconstitutional. It violates a citizen’s right to free association. Private businesses and clubs should be able to discriminate on any basis whatsoever. Only government must be banned from discrimination.
Black free market economists Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell are in total agreement. Anti-discrimination violate our freedoms and give government control over our lives and businesses. Discrimination has a price. If a business doesn’t want to hire someone because he is bald, then another business will be more than happy to have a bald, qualified employee.
The knee jerk reaction was when Gorsuch was nominated in the first place and tons of FReepers blindly praised the pick and hailed him as a “proven originalist” because Trump said he was.
