Imagine there’s no Beatles. It’s easy if you try.
I quote John Lennon, “I don’t believe in Beatles, I just believe in me.” Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I’d still have to bum rides off people.
I know, I know we cannot just listen to recordings of people with whom we agree politically. One great past FReeper put up a meme of the one LP we can listen to: Charlton Heston Reads the Bible. I saw that LP at a used record store here--they used it as a decoration on the wall.
But I refuse to accept that dirty anti-semite Roger Waters of Pink Floyd ("Israel is illegitimate and on occupied Arab land.") and Neil Young who spews hatred of President Trump every day or two. Probably too drunk and drugged out to form a sentence the other days.
And I remember this vividly: NME Magazine: Aug 30, 2016 - Watch Paul McCartney perform at a private fundraiser for Hillary Clinton. The Beatle also apparently danced with the US Presidential candidate ...
He also put his arms around Hillary and gave her a full embrace, to her delight.
Holding down my breakfast--barely.
Is it? Thanks, I’ll give ut a try....
