Sadly, many of my fellow secular Jews look down on or even despise Hassidm or other orthodox sects. Very ironic. My response to these “Uncle Abes” : When Hitler came in he didn’t distinguish between Jews with long beards and those who were assimilated into the mainstream.
A lesson not learned.

With respect, I live in S Florida where the is an extremely large Jew population. No matter what they will never vote for a Republican/Trump. Trump will receive less Jewish votes than before. Guaranteed.

“No one knows for sure how many Americans remained loyal to Great Britain. The Massachusetts political leader, John Adams, thought about thirty-three percent of the colonists supported independence, thirty-three percent supported Britain, and thirty-three percent supported neither side. Most history experts today think that about twenty percent of the colonists supported Britain. They say the others were neutral or supported whichever side seemed to be winning.”

The country has always its share of poofs.
Underscores why it’s important not to be a poof today.

Yet still voting Dem.

    False assertion
  1. The article is about Orthodox Jews in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
  2. In the 2016 election, the vast majority of voters in the neighborhood are registered Democrats, but they often vote Republican, and this year was no different. In Brooklyn’s 48th Assembly District, which encompasses most of Borough Park, Mr. Trump got 69 percent of the vote, while Mrs. Clinton got 27 percent.

Agreed. The Jews I know are all far left liberals.

What exactly does that prove ?

    In this case

How is that relevant to this article?
    In this case

True.. in my genealogy some were suspected to have been loyal to the crown. Old habits die hard, even to this day..

Actually Jews in NYC had the least percentage of votes as a demographic than any other ethnicity. Still holding “D” at exactly 51%, but almost there.

This is why Herr DeBlasio hates Orthodox Jews; it’s something like a 8/10 vote Republican.

most USA Jews have tended to identify with the D party because FDR (who was no real friend of the Jewish people) had the political smarts to hire a few notable Jews into his administration and make them highly visible. Also, FDR’s New Deal programs provided employment for people when they needed it the most.
However, there are Jews and then there are Jews.
Firstly, the observant faithful (and they are growing as they believe in family life) are pretty conservative (because of their families and because of their faith, Biblical moral teachings).
Second, among the non-observant but still faithful - about the same as above.
Third, there are non-observant people who also lack much faith. These ‘secularists’ as i like to call them...have no real moral anchor in their lives and tend to “go with the flow.” When the flow is leftist, they will veer left without thinking much about it.
Fourth, there are non-observant people of Jewish descent who have adopted new religions to fill their voids, whether Zen Buddhism (the smart and or lucky ones) or Communism or Socialism or Progressivism or whatnot. These people are almost all D voters. Many of them suffer so thoroughly from this form of “replacement theology” that they really aren’t Jewish in any recognizable way anymore.
Finally, there are some of the 4th group immediately above who are also sufferers from Jewish Suicide Syndrome, they’ve adopted the anti-Semitism they find in their leftist “replacement religions.” I’d call them “self-haters” except, as noted, they really aren’t Jewish anymore in any meaningful or identifiable fashion, anyway.
Either way on that, they’re very very sad cases. Some of the saddest kinds of people on earth.
Overall, there’s a slow but clear trend towards a more conservative political outlook among many Jews. As the DNC keeps selecting so many anti=Semitic candidates, it becomes almost impossible to ignore.

Yet still voting Dem.

That always has been puzzling to me what attracts Jews to socialism. You would think by now they came to realize that it was the NAZIS (socialists by any other name and Dems are closely related) who placed them in concentration camps and killed them. I have nothing against Jews, had some of them as friends as some of the common people are about the nicest people you could wish to meet. But it still doesn’t explain this attraction.

I knew there was a reason I respected OJs. Like the Amish, they have kept their culture intact.

Agree. The Orthodox Jews are the real Jews. The reform ‘Jews’, with their lesbian rabbis, are super left mostly atheists and Marxists.

I’ll also put forth that 20k jews fought for the confederacy the confederate secretary of War was jewish and Gen Lee has a very fond and warm relationship with the Jews serving under him.

NOT religious, observant Jews who are almost universally
CONSERVATIVE, and vote Republican...and are VERY, supportive of the Second Amendment, and the Constitution, in general. Jews that vote Dem are “ham & cheese” Jews, who are ignorant, and/or contemptuous, of Jewish Law and culture.

JINOs!!!

F’EA! (F**K ‘EM ALL!)

Ya just don’t know squat what. To say that G-D’s given word is mutable is downright blasphemy.

Don’t bother to respond. I won’t.
