Few years back got a fancy chinese clamp-on voltmeter. The rotary switch has always been flakey
It takes like five cycles of the switch to get a usuable reading.

I’ve got a Japanese Olympus OM-D digital camera. One of the rotary dials was flaky, too. Very intermittent. Probably the same Chinese switch suppler.
