This is not the French Revolution, it is the acting out of spoiled, ignorant and ungrateful thugs enabled by cowardly elected leaders

As Americans watch some of our major cities ravaged by rioting, looting and the vandalization or destruction of monuments to our nation’s past with impunity, it is, for those of us of a certain age, a moment to reflect on the depredations of the French Revolution. But let us not be confused by the differences.

The French Revolution took its cues from our own Revolutionary War for independence from England but theirs went all wrong. The devastatingly poor of Paris were well and truly abused by Parisian aristocracy. They were treated as less than human.

Of course, the British aristocracy thought the same of the American colonists, but they were by an ocean removed and the colonists were made of sterner stuff than the Brits sent to defeat them for England.

The Jacqueries of France in 1789 had good reason to set about murdering their abusers and of course got rabidly carried away, killing by guillotine every member of the aristocracy they could capture as well as anyone even remotely related to them, no matter how innocent. Sound familiar?

Our rioters and looters of late have been gleefully knocking down statues of great or not so great men of our past with relish and abandon. The difference is that our monument-destroyers have no clue who the bronzed and marbleized men they are tearing down were or why they were memorialized. Sure, the Confederate generals are easy, but they are ruining countless statues of abolitionists, generals who fought against slavery, men like Gandhi and Churchill. A woman in the UK who had defaced a statue of Churchill, when asked who he was, had no idea; none at all.

Higher education has failed two generations of university students, for that is precisely who is showing up to “burn down the whole system”

This man said it best:

Indeed!

It is the cowardice and complicity of liberal Dem's, handcuffing law enforcement.

The key is for conservatives to protect their own turf without going ballistic....until after the elections...

With a Trump win there will be a new surge of violence which can then be met head on.

If Biden wins....its CWII.

Partner, we agree that the Higher Education system gets a big fat "F" for failing these young students.

We need to revamp the Education system that has so severely failed its students since the Professors are a bunch of Communists/Socialists and they are teaching our kids.

And directed, managed and materially supported by faculty on college campuses.

If you really want it to stop, begin the 5AM campus perp walks.

Key words. UNGRATEFUL and ENTITLED. Also, consider the age, or what appears to be the age, of the majority of PROtestors. Which (p)resident did most of them grow up under thinking back 10-11 years. And the indoc provided by the obxxx PSYCOfans in the public schools. Guess we shouldn’t be too surprised at their thought(?) process. I can pretty much guarantee that there aren’t many, if any. that have a clue about ACTUAL oppressive/subjugated existence and how miserable they would (will?)be. Hey assclowns——fah Q!

They are not even close to 3% of the population (which were the fighters in the American Revolution).

Maybe, at most, .3% (1 million). More likely .1% (330,000) or less.

Without the support of the progressive Media and the Democrat organization, they would be nothing.

Active Constitutional supporters, on the other hand, are likely more than 3% of the population.

What the Constitutional supporters lack, is media and leadership. Those things are being developed; they are close.

The French mob was not spoiled rich kids, but it was equally ignorant and savage.

They aren’t overzealous people who “protest” by destroying Confederate statues, and sometimes they ignorantly destroy an Abolitionist’s statue. They are nihilists who want to destroy everything. They hate the Abolitionist as much as the Confederate because neither was an anarcho-Marxist.

Actually, the French Revolution of 1789 WAS spoiled, ignorant and ungrateful thugs enabled by cowardly elected leaders.

King Luis was a coward who did not use his authority to quell the uprising by the childish spoiled brats. They executed him several years later.

Has been for 20 years. Congressmen GAVE Code Pink access passes (which they used to try to assail members of the Bush administration in the 2000s). The Socialist Councilwoman in Seattle opened up government offices to the rioters.

They are ENTIRELY enabled by the elected Democrats.

Soros campaigned hard for the DAs he got who are cutting loose all vandals and looters. 900 charges down to 30 people charged and the records purged.

Not to mention our lower education system. I was taught about those men in grade school.

It’s been going on since the mid/late 60s. Glad I graduated before it manifested itself, and academia of all levels were totally polluted.

Unfortunately, there is a very good chance that you are correct. If so, it will be far uglier than many imagine. This will not be an army of deer hunters cleanly wiping out a swarm of pajama boys who don't know which restroom to use. This will likely be 50 million dead, many of them good, decent people. I pray that Trump wins - both because he is the better leader and because CWII would be so terrible.

There is not much time left for development.

Their teachers indoctrinated them and lied to them when they were children. That is not their fault. They failed to learn the truth once they became adults. The real world is harsh, and the real world penalty for that failure may be the ultimate price. I hope and pray that these rioters, arsonists, and looters will educate themselves before it is too late.
