The Trump campaign reached the same point back in 2016, too. It only got back on the rails when it adopted a solid message, and Trump hammered it home at every opportunity.

Brad Parscale is probably already out the door as campaign manager. He can stay on top of the political data machine, but I've seen no indication that he knows a thing about managing a major political campaign.

I thought Katrina Pierson did a great job for trump. I never understood why he let her go.

Parscale’s background is data. The data doesn’t tell you how to change the mind of a soccer mom or whatever. That’s political messaging. And then, the media strategy has to be designed around the message. Focus groups are typically used as part of that process. I know using focus groups to actually determine the message is not a good idea, but still you need some guidance about how people perceive things.

The campaign strategist is in charge of that whole process, I think. It can’t be Parscale. He has no background in that. Since he’s the number one person, he should have hired one. Did he do that? I don’t even know who the Trump campaign strategist is.
