It is possible for callers to fake their number on Caller ID.

On more than one occasion, I actually got a call from myself.

My house phone number is (555) 555-1234*

My caller ID showed:

Call from-Alas Babylon!
(555)555-1234

I even asked my son to look at the phone and the caller ID. We had a good laugh, and joked “The killer is in the upstairs bedroom! Get out of the house now!”

* Not my real number; don’t call i!

Then, you either make an excuse to hang up, or, tell them what could be PC that day.

Or, you could respond to each question with “Drew Brees”

They fake the number to a local and if you don’t recognize you don’t answer.
