A spike in gun violence has left over 100 people wounded or killed in dozens of shootings across New York City over the past nine days, police said Sunday.
There have been 112 victims in 83 shootings over a nine-day period ending Saturday, according to police. Most of those shot were expected to survive, but at least six people have died in the past week and others suffered serious or critical injuries.

I saw it on a Twitter thread, didn’t look into it, but it’s recent.
Frankly Scarlett, I’m getting tired of the “gun violence” mantra.
Guns don’t now, and never have committed violence, if anything they do their visual best to prohibit violence.
The Ad Council and a many “non profits” have a great deal to do with funding ads using tax dollars in the attempt to solidify in weak minds that guns are responsible for the violence. Anyone with half a brain knows it is the work of humans with little of no control over their explosive emotions, or just plain evil intent, that is the primary cause.
It is humans that ultimately pay the price for their lack of self control. In the meantime it is victims of those wielding the tools of the violence trade that are suffering.
A nation built on the principles of law and order, surely has the means to control such lawlessness. Principles apparently are not enough as we watch law and order take a back seat to riot, mayhem, disorder, and rampant disregard for lives and property. Who is it that benefits from lawlessness? Who in their right mind would tear down the principles designed to protect us all?
We certainly do not want to leave out the media who also are part of the loud voices screaming gun violence. I don’t believe I have ever seen an article in print decrying bat violence, knife violence, car violence, water violence, or even doctor violence. Some of which far exceed the mantra when it comes down to the bottom line numbers of those reaching room temperature.
How does one begin to fight an effort constructed using our own money against we the people and the U.S. Constitution that proclaims the right of the people to keep and bear Arms.
