The June blockbuster jobs report is more evidence that the economy is healing, but this remains a brutal period for the some 30 million still unemployed Americans.
Nearly every industry -- with very few exceptions -- has been forced to impose layoffs, furloughs or dramatic reductions in hours for its employees. The one major exception has been the United States federal government, which has had virtually no layoffs since the start of the year. Since January, federal employment has risen slightly, in part due to Census workers added. Meanwhile, through May, the construction industry has lost nearly 400,000 workers; manufacturing has lost 750,000 workers; retail trade has lost 1.25 million workers; health care and education have lost 1.75 million workers, and the hospitality industry has lost almost 5 million workers.

The contractors didnt have to show up either. Most, as well as feds, still havent or just come in a couple of days a week every few weeks until the next Phase when its every week.
The private sector is the slave class to the government. And to the parasites on the government dole that vote for the Dems. And they protest and destroy evrything.
The majority of the government “workers” are nothing more than welfare recipients with a premiere retirement plan. They contribute nothing to the economy. Parasites. They live better than most of those who work to pay for the government “workers” home, car and offspring. Except for certain entities like the Military, Police and a few others, the country would be better off with 3/4 less of these welfare deadbeats.
When thirty million private sector employees lose their jobs but government workers do not, it's not about your health.
Amen !

This. In a nutshell is why we should completely ignore anything the government has to say. Just reopen and get on with our lives. Government at every level has been utterly useless through this entire debacle. When they start claiming that they are revoking any 'licenses' to do business, tell them to get bent, and stuff their damn 'license' up their ass. Sideways.
Lobbying for "opening schools safely" is really saying "I don't want to work, but want the paycheck!"
If school buildings aren't going to be opened and everyone has to do online learning, then WTF are we taxpayers doing paying teachers, administrators, janitors salaries and paying to heat/cool and maintain buildings that aren't in use?
I want my tax rebate!
