No one out here who is in business-and that is most of us-is listening to this s*** the tourists are coming in and the Summer people are back at their 2nd residences-and we need their money-the few cases of the Wuhan virus they bring are mostly mild, so no doc or hospital. The only neighbors screaming “mask, mask” are the same ones who live in the few gated enclaves on the river and complain long and loud about the fireworks on every Holiday, gunfire during hunting season, loud music 4 acres away at the bar on the river, etc-same Karens that always want control like in the city-the rest of us are praying they will all move back there now-because it is so much safer y’ know...

They’re all crazy. I’m in North Georgia right now...most of the locals don’t wear them, a few visitors from Atlanta wear them everywhere, including outdoors and even on a tourist carriage ride I saw go by! - but when we were checking into the hotel and had to wait forever because of masks and social distancing, somebody behind my sister said “I’m so over this! We all are!” Other people agreed with her.
So I think you’re going to see some push back.
Wearing a mask has its proper place and reasons.

In 4 years, these Karens and Howards* will be basically brain dead from Oxygen depletion due to wearing masks 24/7 or from self induced cardiac stress aka stress cardiomyopathy which will be maiming/killing them.
Similar to a heart attack, patients with stress cardiomyopathy can present with low blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and even shock.
But unlike a heart attack, which kills heart cells, it is believed that stress cardiomyopathy uses adrenaline and other hormones to temporarily stun heart cells. Fortunately, this stunning gets better very quickly, often within just a few days to a few weeks. So even though a person with stress cardiomyopathy can have severe heart muscle weakness at the time of admission to the hospital, the heart completely recovers within a couple of weeks in most cases and there is no permanent damage.
Maybe we can call these self inflicted Karens, the new Karen & Howard Hughes*.
