Chinas Ambassador to the United States, Cui Tiankai, said America must make a fundamental choice about whether it can live peacefully with a modernized, strong, prosperous China.
Earlier this week, it emerged that the White House is reportedly considering banning members of the Chinese Communist Party from entering the US, and on Thursday the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused America of oppressing and bullying China.
In response to claims by some in the West that under President Xi Jinping, China has become more assertive, expansionist and repressive power, Cui said people have to fully recognize the realities of todays world.
We certainly have the legitimate right to build our country into a modernized, strong, prosperous country, like every other country in the world, the ambassador said.
I think that the fundamental question for the United States is very simple, he said. Is the United States ready or willing to live with another country with a very different culture, a very different political and economic system
in peace and cooperate on so many and still growing global challenges?

“China’s ambassador to the US says America must make a ‘fundamental choice’”

The choice -
“Beijing: Neutron bomb or old fashioned dirty hydrogen bomb?”
I guess this choice will be made by citizens of the USA on Nov.3
with a modernized, strong, prosperous China...
Well since they’re none of those, we don’t have to decide yet.
Empty cities that have lots of pretty skyscrapers.
Soldiers who get into rock fights at a border with another’s army. I am not shocked by India. Expected more from the supposedly disciplined chinese army
Catastrophic infrastructure and logistics, which was made glaringly apparent by the response to wuhan.
And I have a pretty strong feeling they wouldn’t know what hit them in a naval battle, though quite a few here seem to think otherwise.
I think we have a while before they are all the things they think they are
Communists ... Muslims ... either bunch we need to accept their doings and give way to them....
Nope
Bomb em back to the stone age
Umm, we can’t talk about that. What kind of inbred racist redneck are you?
Yes,Mr Ambassador...the civilized world (not just the United States) must make a fundamental choice,a choice we should have made in June 1989 (if not earlier):
The Chinese Communist Party is a desperate threat to all that is decent, civilized and peaceful in this world and we must close our factories in China and close our ports to all Chinese made products.
That's *all* our factories and *all* our ports!
No kidding
Graphic: commie general leader talking about strong prosperous china, standing on neck of the chinese/hong kong/taiwanese peoples, who is saying “i cant breathe”
Damn right. Ban them, then throw out the commies that already here in Antifa, BLM, and the Democrat party.
Be careful what you ask for Ambassador, we might just make that fundamental choice.

"Deng Xiaoping, whose economic reform launched China's remarkable rise had a famous motto: “hide your strength and bide your time.” That is precisely what China has done. China's economy has quietly grown from about 2 percent of the world's GDP in 1980, to nearly 20 percent today. And by some estimates based on purchasing parity, the Chinese economy is already larger than ours. The General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, Xi Jinping, who has centralized power to a degree not seen since the dictatorship of Mao Zedong, now speaks openly of China moving closer to the center stage, building a socialism that is superior to capitalism, and replacing the American dream with the Chinese solution. China is no longer hiding it strength nor biding its time. From the perspective of its communist rulers, China's time has arrived."

"
To tilt the playing field to its advantage, China’s communist government has perfected a wide array of predatory and often unlawful tactics: currency manipulation, tariffs, quotas, state-led strategic investment and acquisitions, theft and forced transfer of intellectual property, state subsidies, dumping, cyberattacks, and industrial espionage. About 80% of all federal economic espionage prosecutions have alleged conduct that would benefit the Chinese state, and about 60% of all trade secret theft cases have been connected to China.
The PRC also seeks to dominate key trade routes and infrastructure in Eurasia, Africa, and the Pacific. In the South China Sea, for example, through which about one-third of the world’s maritime trade passes, the PRC has asserted expansive and historically dubious claims to nearly the entire waterway, flouted the rulings of international courts, built artificial islands and placed military outposts on them, and harassed its neighbors’ ships and fishing boats."

How about we make the fundamental choice of kicking your Red ass out of the U.S.
Great..! Sign me up.! We sure love to sell Fords, Chevys and Harleys to folks with lots money... China better be ready to buy just as many goods, services and materials from us as they want us to buy from them... If not then forgetaboutit.....
We need to focus on cleaning up the domestic enemies as the first priority.
They are a _much_ greater threat than China.
We may never learn the full story of the origin of the virus. Was it released accidentally or deliberately? Was China’s intention (if it was released on purpose) to weaken the economies of other countries, or specifically to weaken Trump in hopes of getting a subservient Democrat to replace him in the White House?
Translation, bend over and take some more.
Best response, clear out and tell your buddies at home to build some fallout shelters. They’re gonna need them if they keep this up.
